The best childcare network in the city of Charlotte! The director is very hands on and goal oriented you can tell she cares for the staff and students there. Ms Shakira is a amazing leader and I hope she continues to shine there
We’ve had such a wonderful experience with my daughter’s daycare class! The teachers are incredibly kind, patient, and genuinely caring — it’s clear how much they love what they do. They communicate with families so well, keeping us informed and involved every step of the way. I’m always impressed with how thoughtfully they engage the children through fun activities, learning moments, and lots of play. My daughter absolutely loves going to daycare each day!
I am very disappointed with the experience my family has had at Childcare Network #53. The overall atmosphere is unprofessional and shows a serious lack of accountability from management. Director Shikerra Hedgepeth and Assistant Director Andrea Williams have repeatedly failed to communicate important information to parents and to address concerns when they’re raised. Most upsetting, my children were suddenly disenrolled without any prior notice I only found out when I arrived to pick them up. Families deserve at least the courtesy of advance communication, yet that basic respect was missing. I also raised concerns about the kitchen staff and the inconsistency of meals my children often reported not receiving breakfast before leaving the center but these issues were brushed off instead of addressed. Parents trust a childcare center with their most precious responsibility, and that trust requires transparency, respect, and professionalism. Unfortunately, my experience here has been the opposite. I hope this review encourages leadership to make real changes so that other parents do not face the same frustration. UODATE: I contacted FAMILY SERVICES & they do not follow up on emails or phone calls
