Child Development Center - Oakland

We absolutely LOVE CDC Oakland! From the minute you walk through the door, you can tell the people here truly care. My son is in the infant room, and his teachers, Ms. Natalia and Ms. Ty, take amazing care of him. He is always having so much fun playing that sometimes he doesn’t even realize when I come to pick him up — which says everything. As a very nervous mom sending my infant to daycare for the first time, this place has given me so much peace of mind. I would recommend CDC Oakland to any parent who feels anxious about daycare. Your child is treated like family here, not just a number. The teachers read to the children, do engaging activities, and you can see that every child is joyful and thriving. It’s exactly what we were looking for, and I love knowing my son is surrounded by kind, caring people while learning new skills every day. A huge thank you to the director, Ms. Krissy. You can tell so much about a daycare by its leadership, and she sets the tone for everything here. She works side by side with her teachers, fosters strong relationships, and keeps communication open and honest. I never feel out of the loop, and I never feel worried — which, as a mom, is priceless.

My child didn’t attend here, but I did tour this location, and all of the staff members were incredibly sweet and kind. Jala in the infant room was absolutely incredible, and I can tell that she loves what she does, which is extremely important when dealing with kids. She took my baby girl and played with her, while I chatted with the director. Lastly, the director, Krissy, is absolutely fabulous!!!!! Answered every single question I had and was an open book. We went with another facility bc of the price point, but still wanted to leave a review based on my tour experience.

Posting anonymously for my and my child’s safety. This child care center either needs to find a new director, or be shut down. It is not being run in the children's best interest. Teachers are in and out, and my child is being dropped off every day to complete strangers. Workers dress provocatively, and every other day my child is coming home with undocumented bite marks and bruises. When I come to pick my child up, it seems like constant chaos is going on. Children are screaming and crying in every room. I am very disappointed in the turn this center has taken since this new director has taken over.

I am unaware of the events discussed in the other reviews. I have noticed a change in management inside the building. I hope that the previous incident was addressed properly and that nothing of the sort happens in the future. My four-year-old currently attends this center. He is a sensitive mamas boy yet he always enjoys going. We have had nothing but a good experience.

I really love this center and my baby is always happy and tired because they actually interact and do activities with the babies love the teachers and I'm always greeted when I come in to drop off and pickup I will definitely recommend this center I have no issues they really care for the children.
