If you are going for the housing man, make sure you are prepared to have everything on email and prepared to wait. They are very unprofessional they don't respond. Have you wait to ask for things you provide day they will email you or call you back then don't. Been waiting for over 2 months nothing . Just a drop of my credit since they ran my score and who knows what else they did but can't email back but when you go into the office you can see them just chatting with each other about how much money they made on the weekend from selling things or doing events or parties. Very very sad to say they are for helping yet they can respond or call back or are not organized properly that when you call they are like wait can you remind me who you are
Their information is given out for help on utilities but they haven't had srp funding in months, just aps. They should tell someone so that you are not driving there every week.
I currently live a shelter they offer on 40th Ave, And I have to say it's the worst shelter I've been in. I prefer a room alone and they placed me with a woman I didn't get along with so I had to lie to staff just to get her kicked out. Then I fell out of bed and had injured myself but no one came to help me for almost 2 hours and I had multiple accidents. If it wasn't for fory neighbor who found me in my room and helped me who knows how long I would be on the floor injured. To top it off they don't work with my diabetes and always making food that will send my sugar through the roof. If possible avoid this place at all cost.
Called mid March 2025, spoke with Clarissa about scholarships. She was helpful and answered more than a few of my questions. If anyone is interested in help, this is definitely the organization to reach out to. I'll definitely be spreading the word to family and friends.
