I realized that my last post was rather old, so I thought I'd post something new. We've been at the Porch for over 15 years now. If you're looking for an inclusive, loving and suppotive environment that challenges your beliefs but strengthens your faith, come sit with me at the Porch. Our Pastor, Josh, not only speaks from the heart, he speaks TO the heart with an almost supernatural ability to know exactly what you need to hear, when you need to hear it. The congregation is quick to welcome and accept anyone who walks through the doors. I've been a Pastor for years but a few years ago made a ministry shift and joined a non-profit ministry. For the first time in my adult life, I had to find a church family. After months of attending a lot of churches, I walked into Cherry Creek and felt instantly at home. It's a great young families church lead by a dynamic, yet humble, Pastor. We've been members for not quite 2 years. We had visited several churches throughout Aurora and never seemed to "fit in." It only took our second week at CCC for us to realize that we had found our "church home" and we couldn't be happier. We have found fellowship and community there and we look forward to what the future holds for us at Cherry Creek Church. Plus, they have an amazingly talented band!
Pastor Josh preaches from thoughts on a page vs connecting with his congregation. It may be heart felt in moments and in others you get lost in his rapid changing thought process that are pre written vs having bullet points(notes) that the Holy Spirit leads you. Feels like AI(Artificial Intelligence) preaching. Not even sure he has his Master of Divinity?
