Our family has absolutely loved being part of this preschool. We’ve been here since our son was 2.5 years old, and now that he is in his last year at CoG TK, we can truly say this school has played such an important role in his growth and development. From the very beginning, the teachers made us feel welcomed, supported, and like part of a family. They are kind, attentive, and truly invested in each child’s success. What stands out most is the sense of community they’ve created, not just for the kids, but for the parents as well. Our son has grown so much socially, emotionally, and academically. He especially loves science and exploring new things, and it’s been amazing to see how the teachers encourage his curiosity and love of learning through hands-on activities. We are so thankful for this school and highly recommend it to any family looking for a safe, loving, and nurturing environment with truly incredible teachers.
We’ve had two children go through CoG, two very different kids, and both thrived in different ways beyond my expectations. They love the STEM curriculum, the meaningful art projects, learning and playing outside, and the wonderful teachers here. We love the focus on diversity, the social emotional learning, and the organic community the school fosters.
I cannot say enough good things about CoG! My good friend recommended it to me and we were unsure only because it’s not the most convenient location with us being in Lafayette and working in the city, but omg has it been worth it! I wish our daughter could attend CoG through middle school! The teachers are excellent, they truly care about each student and the curriculum is outstanding. It’s so thoughtfully curated and unmatched by any other program we toured/visited (including Meher School!). I’m soooo grateful to have our daughter at CoG, and have so much gratitude and peace as a parent knowing what wonderful care she is receiving for her FULL little human self. 🥰
COG has been wonderful for both my children. The teachers are emotionally and socially very supportive, and the program is filled with so many great activities. There is a healthy balance of structure with STEM and art based activities combined with lots of indoor/outdoor play. They are so thoughtful about the books they select for circle time, and teach multiple languages in a fun and interactive way. I love reviewing their PowerPoint slides every day with my children — they show all the things the kids did, and they include a picture of the yummy nutritious lunch that the school makes for the kids. COG nurtures an inclusive community — so there is opportunity to meet many other families. My daughter is 6, and we still keep in touch with her COG friends. My son who struggles with new environments, started saying “I love school!” after his first week there. And my favorite part is Friday “sing circle” — they invite family members who are available to join in singing songs with all the kids. I could go on and on but 5/5 recommend COG to all our friends and local neighbors!
COG is the place to be! The knowledgeable staff is warm and caring. Set in a clean and inviting environment, where nutritious food is served, teachers and educators that REALLY care about your child's and parents' success! They encourage and support children's curiosity to learn naturally by exploring their world! I cannot emphasize just how wonderful these people and this type of learning is!
