I’ve been coming to carousel for several years now. Both my niece (3 years old) and nephew (10years old) have attended this center and both have said nothing but amazing things about their days and how they love their teachers and friends that are also there. I love Mrs. Yolanda she used to be one of the vpk teachers but is now the director and does an even better job (like that was possible!) I love every person they have on staff, they all truly enjoy their jobs and love the children. I feel very comfortable with leaving my children with them! I would recommend this childcare to anyone and ONLY this one, I’ve been to a few and they aren’t like carousel!!
My daughter used to go to daycare where they forgot to feed her , she would soil her clothes everyday going through two-three outfits each day and the staff called me an “over protective mom “ if I ever pointed these things out . I would even pick her up and she would have a rash from crying so much . This daycare has been such a blessing for our family! I couldn’t say enough good things about them and how many good experiences we have had . My daughter gets dropped off with a smile on her face and picked up smiling as well . She is always greeted by loving teachers and blows them kisses goodbye and comes home in a dry diaper every day with a list of how many times she went potty that day , what she ate , what art they did and what she needs for school the following day . I love the 24 hour camera access that I can watch her any time of the day to check up on her too ! (Nothing hidden from parents ! You have access to your child all day !) The staff are amazing and very caring as well . Coming from someone who worked in daycare for 5 years I was very hesitant about enrolling my child in a place I had not worked myself . I was proven wrong everyday for the last year . The staff and owners have been nothing but amazing to my daughter and she is very attached to her teachers as well . I would recommend this daycare to anyone wanting their child to feel loved and well treated on a daily basis ❤️
Everything about this daycare is amazing! The facilities, the teachers, the management and the food served all exceeded my expectations. After pulling my daughter out of a school that was much less than professional, I was very picky when picking a place for my daughter. I was worried about everywhere, but I took a chance with this place with the security of knowing I could watch my daughter on the cameras. I am very happy with the development of my daughter with her intelligence as well as her social skills. Anyone who wants a real daycare should look into this place. They are also opening up a new daycare so they can expand their care. Expect that the environment will be just as satisfactory in their new daycare.
Jim and Tammy run a fantastic child care facility! My daughter loves going, and talks a mile a minute about her day when we pick her up. At a previous child care facility my daughter cried every day I dropped her off. When we moved to CELC, after a week of she waved "bye mommy" and went straight to her teacher for a hug. Her teacher has known her for 3 years, gives her lots of hugs and positive direction, and asks after her welfare. Jim and Tammy strive to provide consistency with the Staff so the teacher turn-around has always been very minimal, not something you see with most day cares. (The first place we attended had a new teacher every 2-3 weeks!) I think this lack of teacher turnaround shows a lot about the character of those that run it. Personally, I have never seen any of the behaviors from Jim or Tammy that the comments here have expressed, and I have had many communications with them that were positive for both my child and myself. My daughter has attended this daycare for 3 years and was not a part of the outbreak of any illness. Proper hand washing is always maintained. Parents dropping off their children noticeably sick, or with lice, cause the spread of illness, not Jim and Tammy. A sick child will only remain, quarantined, until the parents can come pick them up. My daughter will graduate their VPK program in a few weeks, and it will be sad to see her leave. It is always hard to leave your child with someone other than family when you work, and I have never had any reservations about her care here. This has always been a warm and caring environment, and the best option for my child. I thank them so much for all that they have taught my daughter, the care they have provided, and will recommend them to anyone that needs a loving stable child care facility for their kid(s).
My wife and i are very particular when it comes to childcare. We recently moved to the area and asked for suggestions on child care. We visited 7 to 8 daycares before settling on Carousel Early Learning Center. One of the main reasons we chose this facility was the fact that you can monitor your children remotely via the camera system that they have with a third party company. I would like to compile a list of pros and cons regarding this business in hopes of providing clear information on what my experience was here. PROs: -Facility appears clean and smells good -Lunch is provided and cooked on site. -They boast they are a learning center CONs: -Staff (manager in the day and manager in afternoon) are not friendly (unable to smile) -Staff seem to become annoyed when asked simple questions. i.e "how was my childs day?" "is their anyway i can have a brief conversation regarding my childs behavior with the teacher?" -Remote monitoring via camera system did not work for us, never received email regarding the system (even though we registered twice) -The manager does not know the policy regarding childrens being absent and having to pay tuition -Staff not receptive to parents concerns That is a short list that i hope can help you make a decision about taking your child to the CELC. I voiced my opinion regarding the remote monitoring of the cameras to the manager and she stated "you have to wait for an email". 3 weeks had gone by and we still didn't receive said e mail. When i told the manager she put her hands in the air and said "thats not us thats the camera company, we just verify the child is here". I registered them twice and management was not concerned or attempted to assist us with it at all. The lady, who says shes the manager, Lisa, rarely, if ever smiles. She is unable to take any form of constructive criticism. When voicing my concerns about the daycare she claimed i was disrespectful and rude. I was expressing my concerns and she began to speak over me. She is in charge of taking payments and doesn't even know the policy regarding tuition and childrens absence. She is cold and visibly annoyed when parents voice their concerns. As a customer i didnt receive the type of treatment i deserved. Overall VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. I am a traveling nurse and occasionally move around. I have had my children in daycare since my oldest was 1 and she is now 13. I have never received this type of customer service while using a daycare service. I am very disappointed with my experience. These are all small issues i experienced and could have all been resolved with good customer service. POORLY MANAGED!
