What Parents Say
This preschool and conservatory facility receives mixed reviews. Most reviewers praise the instructors, programs, and facility amenities, while a small number report serious issues with management practices and customer service failures including cancelled lessons and refund delays.
The Cape Symphony's Falmouth building holds a lovely Recital Hall that I use for Ballroom Dance classes. I share the space with music events, piano lessons and Diane's exercise classes. Off to the side of the building, WCAI has a wing. The other wing hosts administration and private music lessons. It's a cultural resource next to the Highfield Theater.
When I was six I went to the Falmouth conservatory for the first time and studied ballet. I am now 39 and honestly I have seen more corruption greed or ridiculous situations out of the current occupiers of the old conservatory. This place is fascinating to me I used to live in the old caretaker house with my uncle Glenn when the Mansion at Highfield was falling apart. Uncle passed away and I was hoping that the conservatory would take the old house and use it to help provide affordable housing to families in need in Falmouth being that the needs are so great these days due to unregulated Airbnb and improperly executed tourism. Just the opposite happened they decided to selfishly rip the house down and leave it as a Dusty lot after my uncle lives there his whole life keeping the house of 200 years up. Furthermore the conservatory / Cape symphony seems to do a lot in terms of promoting itself for charitable causes they will often run community orchestras for raising funding for human resources and homeless in Falmouth however they do not provide any tickets culturally so that any of these people might have experiences as well. My own personal experience with the manager of the conservatory as he calls himself I think his name's Richππa Mercedes driving entitled manager that gets off by yelling at homeless people who he comes across, either in the forest or if they're parked anywhere near the conservatory in their car. The hypocrisy with this place is palpable. They want you to believe that they're helping but they don't actually want to help. It's sad as a girl I had walked this hill up to the top, I used to dream of beautiful days and beautiful nights on Cape Cod and opportunities and a good life. The reality of this place really is a mental prison. Let's face it if you don't come from money you wind up in poverty and enslavement to a Time clock and to rent that is not based on your income, but rather the wealth of greedy and wants of temporary affluence.
Terrible, I called the conservatory inquiring about guitar and keyboard lessons. I made a appointment paid for the first lesson. The day of the appointment for first lesson while I gathered guitar music book and things to go my phone rang; I answered to be told at this time when I am leaving to go there that the appointment was cancelled that the teacher made a decision not to do the lessons at that point in time. Upon this I was told if I wanted to drive to barnstable in summer traffic I might be able to get a spot there. So I was left without the lessons I scheduled and paid for in advance and a very DISSAPOINTED CHILD THAT WAS LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS.... To add insult to injury i was kept waiting for my refund until i finally called twice to request it agian when the apointment was cancelled by them. Bad bad business
My boyfriend and I took our toddler on a walk through BeeBee Woods. Our toddler loved it. We really enjoy going there for a nice casual stroll through nature.
Excellent instructors, much was learned and experienced.
