I was informed I wasn't allowed to swim due to a complaint that a workout group needed the ramp for the pool. Instead of being on the side where there is a ramp, the small aquatics workout group was on the opposite side of the pool, in a total of 3 lanes. I've heard that formal complaints from patrons on being able to use the pool has reached an all time high because of this group, and they're not even using the pool area they asked to use. They need to be sectioned off on the far shallow side next to the ramp, no more than 3 lanes worth is needed for them, and open the rest of the pool for lap swim.

First time at the ymca waterpark and it sucked ! First the young guy at the welcome booth was NOT welcoming - very rude. Did not think to tell us that someone pooped in the pool and that it would be closed for the next HOUR so, we spent $60 to wait for an hour for them to clean. Then we get pushed off of our table by Ms. Sharon (the absolute worst) and another worker and a group of 10-15 kids. They did not ask us to share the table or apologize for completely crowding up even though we had our stuff clearly all over the space. In fact, they said nothing to us at all. Just crammed themselves in with us to the point where we had to leave the table. Other group workers noticed & was nice enough to let us know they were leaving and we could use their table. After a while, Ms.Sharon came up to us and said "im sorry you felt that we pushed you out of you table or whatever " to which i replied "i feel that way because thats what you did, and i will be leaving a review about this ". The park itself is very nice but the workers made it almost impossible to enjoy. :(

Used the pool for a scheduled event, approximately 25 people in the group. Cost is reasonable. One observation: one of the lifeguards was dozing off even after he was asked three times to stay awake. I don't know if the lifeguards are volunteer or paid. Their role is important enough to take seriously. We've used this pool many other times and this is the first occasion when this occurred.

This is a wonderful family-friendly recreation center for the Fredericksburg area. There's so much to do with and without your kids, and there is child care at specific times. The staff is always helpful and friendly. The building is old and could use some updating, but the staff cares for it the best they can with the resources they have available to them. My family and I are happy to have an outlet during the cold months.

The facility is unsafe. They have all the free weights crowded into a corner, they only have one deadlift stand, and they don’t let you carry your gym bag with you on the floor (a lot of weight lifters need chalk, lifting belts, etc. so this is really frustrating. Also, the locker rooms outdated. They need an upgrade and they need to rearrange the floors layout.
