I have two children at this location and have been with Brookshire for almost 4 years. Miss Dorothy has been my saving grace, she is my go to if I have any worries or concerns. I am so thankful for her! Also Miss Jay, Miss Patty, and Miss Nicole have been wonderful.

Our two daughters attended here for five years and we were extremely satisfied with the care we received at Brookshire. We met some one in a million teachers that have left a lasting positive impression on our girls. We also loved that Brookshire has a variety of activities available, especially the different outdoor play areas and the themed indoor play spaces for dramatic play, the ball pit, the pool, etc. We also loved that our children get exposure to new things through the optional extracurriculars that came to Brookshire like piano lessons, Crouching Tigers, and tennis.

My wife and I toured several daycares in the greater Lafayette area while she was pregnant. Brookshire was without a doubt the most impressive, while also being the most affordable. Crazy, given that it's 2025! Our baby was in the infant room and a toddler room and has had nothing but positive experiences. Ms Dorothy, Cassie, Jayden, and Marie have been such amazing caretakers and great people for our baby! Events have been fun and my wife and I had a blast volunteering at several. Our baby has made friends and it seems like their names are the only thing she says! All in all, this has been a great daycare for the last year and we continue to look forward to being enrolled.

We have tried many child care facilities in the area and this is by far the best! Constant updates on your kids, pictures throughout the day, and good communication. Not a lot of turnover either which is great for the kids. There are also social events for families and sporting activities for kids to sign up for. If you are looking for a place for your children, Brookshire is the perfect location!

My son attended Brookshire for about 4 months this year while we were temporarily living in West Lafayette. He was in two different rooms during that time. My experience was somewhat mixed. There is a lot to like about Brookshire but we also encountered a lot of issues. PROS: - Tons of play facilities both indoor and out. Ball room, sand room, tons of different playgrounds, indoor pool. It's a big place with a ton of activities. - Affordable tuition - Fairly big daycare in terms of size and enrollment which may help you get in sooner - Some really standout teachers--Miss J and Miss Patty in Room 1 are incredible and Miss Jenny in the kitchen is so sweet. There are some other floating teachers that are great too and seem like they have been there for decades, I wish I remembered their names so I could call them out. Sorry! CONS: - Overall mixed teacher quality and some staffing issues - Management somewhat disorganized - Communication with parents could be better - Despite amenities the facility is fairly old... and has a bit of a smell to it - The office is separate from classrooms. At other centers you see the director every day as you walk in and you feel like they are right there to support the teachers. - Food options and variety are not great. Mostly processed foods and 9 of the 10 lunch entrees have meat which was tough for us since we're vegetarian. The first room my son was in was a struggle. His favorite teacher quit and I didn't learn about it until weeks later after meeting the director to ask why the teacher hadn't been coming in. One of his teachers was pretty consistently on her phone during drop off and pick up. Then there was an incident where he came home with a cut on his back and his teachers couldn't say when or how he got it. He then aged out and moved up to the next room and everything completely changed. The culture was totally different and the teachers had a really strong handle on the room. My son thrived and really bonded with both of his teachers. I loved chatting with them at drop off and pick up and I felt like he was in really good hands. In his last couple of weeks at the center something happened that really underscored my feelings about this place. I came in for a minute in the middle of the day to drop off fresh sheets for my son and heard a teacher yell at the kids in her room three separate times. To her credit the director Bev said all the right things to me about it when I met with her. They had a talk with the teacher to correct it and get her more resources as she was alone with her kids and clearly overwhelmed. But this is the crux of the issue. Your kid may get one of the awesome veteran teachers and end up in a stable room that they love! Or they might not. Teachers talked openly to me about staffing issues and disorganization from management. And I've felt it. Communication with the office was sporadic at best before he enrolled and the admin who gave us a tour before his first day seemed completely overwhelmed. At previous centers I've met the teachers ahead of time, even getting an orientation with all the new parents and kids. At the end of the day, I'm not sure if I would recommend the center. If I had an option to get him into a different center or watch him full time myself I would have. But with two working parents and long waitlists at every center sometimes we don't have options. I'm glad that he at least ended up in a good room by the end of his time there.
