Bright Horizons At Northbrook

My baby started daycare at 6 months, and we learned something new about her: she is incredibly strong-willed. She was the baby who would go 7 hours without sleeping or drinking milk. No tears, minor fussing, just playing, observing, or chilling all day long. She is now 8 months old. And I have to say, I am grateful for the team in her classroom. They have worked with my family, with compassion and care, advising and aiding all along this journey. My baby is well taken care of, well loved, and happy in her class. She still doesn't nap and doesn't take milk well so she's basically there half-day (my fault, I wanted to gently work on this and I have flexibility at work to accommodate this), but she smiles, she sits and eats, she socializes. Is it pricey to send her there for half a day? Absolutely. Do I wish there was a half day tuition option in the interim? Definitely. Yet, I still think it's worth every penny to ensure she has the best care that she is certainly receiving right now.

We couldn't be happier with Bright Horizons at Northbrook. We have had at least one, if not two, children at the center every year for the last eight years. From the administration, to the teachers and the support staff, we've always felt that our children are safe, encouraged, and appropriately challenged. The chef-made meals, enrichment activities, and parental engagement is top tier. It's a wonderful community and they work well to partner with you in caring for your child(ren). Our third child will graduate in two years and it'll be a very sad day when BH at Northbrook isn't in our lives anymore!

We’ve been with the center since 2018 and have had our 2 boys here in all class levels. We’ve always been very happy and especially love the low level of staff turnover. My preschooler has the same teacher that my now 1st grader had when he was that age. The teachers do a great job of engaging the children, encouraging independence, communicating with parents, and ultimately preparing the kids for kindergarten!

We started our daughter here in the infant room when she was 7 months old. It’s been a little over a year and has since moved up to toddlers. We couldn’t be more grateful for Bright Horizons knowing she is in a safe place with the most caring teachers. They supported us during the hard transition of leaving your infant in someone else’s care and through some of the big milestones that come in the first year of life. We are so thankful for Ody, Ivanna, America, Courtney, Anna, Dina, Sarah, Devyn, Kim, Linda and the entire amazing staff who has been there along the way!

I cannot day enough great things about Bright Horizons! Our children have been in the young preschool, preschool, and kindergarten prep classrooms, and every teacher has been fabulous. They are always changing up the activities and making learning fun. It is a great balance of playtime and academics, all in a nurturing environment. There are special activities like yoga, dance, and Spanish lessons, along with plenty of playtime inside and outdoors. Chef Dan cooks delicious and healthy food for the children daily - breakfast, lunch, snack, and there is even a snack to go in the lobby. The communication is top notch, with pictures, potty, and meal updates all sent each day through an app. At drop off and pick up, the front desk staff and teachers are always friendly and provide an update about the day. All of the families we've met are super friendly, and my kids often don't want to leave when it's time to go home. As a teacher myself, I can confidently say that my children will be more than prepared for kindergarten thanks to Bright Horizons.
