My preschool child goes to this daycare and I was deeply concerned by the state of the facility. The most alarming issue was the evident presence of mouse droppings scattered across various areas, including my child’s clothes bin, near the fridge and microwave. This not only poses serious health risks to children but also indicates a lack of proper pest control measures. My child had said a mouse has ran in the classroom before when they were using the bathroom and they still haven’t solved the problem. Every single day I walk in there’s more somewhere else and I see the staff cleaning it up to make sure it is all good. Mice can carry diseases and allergens that could potentially harm young children, whose immune systems are still developing. When I tell staff about it they clean right away but it’s not fair to them it should be the management and the owner being the ones to contact an Exterminator to come every single week and fix the problem as soon as possible. The building should not even be open until the problem is fixed. I had called the state and they are going to look into this issue as they do not qualify for health expectations. While the staff appear friendly and attentive, the environmental conditions overshadowed these positive aspects. Until significant improvements are made in terms of pest management, also all the managers to be on the same page. I would hesitate to recommend this daycare to other parents.

I was very disgusted this morning when i walked into my child’s preschool class and saw that there was mouse poop in their cubby. It wasn’t the first time i’ve noticed it, the first time was a week ago when i was putting away my child’s things and saw little droppings and mentioned it to the staff, they cleaned it up right away and were very respectful about it but it’s a very big concern for me as a parent due to all the safety concerns that go along with mice. The management clearly hasn’t taken the proper time to address this issue as there are still droppings everyday. I was hoping that this issue would be fixed coming into this week but it has not, i do hope that it gets resolved soon as i would hate to find a new daycare for my child.

We are beyond happy with Bright Beginnings as our childcare choice for our daughter who is in their infant room. The staff made her transition into daycare as stress free as can be, especially with a baby who was experiencing bottle refusal right up until the week she transitioned in. The staff is extremely communicative and goes above and beyond to help parents. When there was a sickness in the center they were upfront as soon as they were made aware and when our child was sick they checked in frequently on her to see how she was doing. We appreciate how flexible they are with parents, especially those who work outside the typical 9-5 hours. Wish we had found them sooner so our older child could have gone here as well!

My son was in the infant room and on a good schedule, with a fantastic caretaker. She made me feel comfortable and that my son was safe. The trouble started when he was moved to a different room at 8 months old. We were told his schedule would stay the same, he would just now be with a few kids a little older, and with new caretakers. I was concerned he would be put on a schedule he wasn’t ready for, or would not have the same type of development than if he were to stay in the infant room until one year (which is what was supposed to happen), but they reassured me that would not happen, and we trusted them. Instead, the caretakers put them on a schedule more suited for children a year and older, completely different than what he was used to. As I tried to work with them to adjust to all the changes, we seemed to keep running into other issues as well. The breaking point, however, was when there was miscommunication on their end about when my son could return to daycare after he had thrown up one day. They told us he could return after he had been seen by a dr and if he didn’t throw up again. We brought him to the dr the very same day, he got a dr note saying he was healthy, and he didn’t throw up again in close to 24hrs. I was asked to come pick him up, so I made arrangements with work and did just that. My husband was upset that we had to take more time off work (we were running low on time off since they sent him home often) so he called to ask why their requirements had changed from what we were told the previous day. During his conversation with one of the managers, she started to put the blame on us being first time parents (which they did often as well), to which my husband replied he didn’t appreciate them using that excuse every time we had an issue with them. The manager then yelled at him and hung up the phone. When I get there to pick my son up, they had my sons belongings in a trash bag and the manager then proceeds to tell me my husband had screamed at her to the point he was “losing his voice”, which was not true. She lied right to my face, and then when I said I found that hard to believe, she said “oh, so I’m a liar then”. Completely unprofessional. My son not returning to that daycare was a blessing in disguise. If I could rate this place with 0 stars I would.

My kids have been with the Bright Beginnings staff for a little over 2 years. My oldest has always been a little shy and does not interact with other children easily. Since being with Bright Beginnings he has broken out of his shell and enjoys being there with his friends. My youngest is special needs. Had it not been for the staff of Bright Beginnings he would not be where he is now. He has grown a tremendous amount since he started there. I have dealt with other daycares before but none could compare to this one. The Bright Beginnings staff is a breath of fresh air. Their is no one I would trust to take care of my two kids more than them. You all are amazing!!!
