My family loves this Boys and Girls Club location. The staff are wonderful and work seamlessly together. They are very attentive, accepting, and welcoming to all members. They genuinely strive to 'see' each child, get to know them, and become true mentors; it's not just a job for them. They offer a well-rounded variety of programs, clubs & sports, field trips, summer camp, and overnight camps.There really is something for everyone ensuring all kids feel included. As an educator, it's fantastic to see kids engaged in learning that goes beyond test preparation. They're excited to participate and learn. Any issues I've noticed have been handled smoothly. The staff are all ready to hear and help with any concerns I may have. Parents are kept informed which is extremely important to me.
I just signed my kids up and it went by super smooth. I had been planning this for a few weeks and would occasionally pop in with questions and miss Meka although busy made time to answer with a smile on her face, she made the sign up process very easy and pleasant. While I was there the staff was very sweet and attentive to the kids. They gave off a very welcoming vibe as they greeted all the kids coming through the door. All in all the staff I met where all very sweet and attentive.
My grandchildren started going here when they moved in. This place has really poured into their lives. My grandchildren are blossoming so much and thriving from going here. Mr. Lawrence and his team are the best. THEY ACTUALLY CARE!!! I Love how all the children get to perform at some point. GREAT PLACE Y’ALL
I absolutely love this place and so do my kids. My daughter Phynix has been going here ever since she was 6 and now she is 13. She looking forward to going here during the school year and for their summer camp, she would definitely be here until she graduates high school. She has even said that she would love to come back and join the staff and help other kids like the staff helped her.
The place is very filthy, laced with clothes and trash all over the floor. The donation box looks like it hasn't been emptied in weeks and appears to become a trash bin. The place is hot and have a musky and urine odor that lingers throughout. I was floored by the level of filth I saw when I toured. Health department should inspect and consider an in house janitor since there’s 50+ children in that facility in a day. I will definitely not be taking my children there.
