One recent review raised concerns about safety, supervision, and staffing changes, contrasting with the predominantly 5-star ratings from satisfied families.
I absolutely love this school! My daughter loves her teachers. My daughter is 7 months and they have helped her tremendously on her development skills. She started when she was 4 months old and as any parent who have to go back to work so soon i was a little nervous but the way they treat her as their own is amazing! They teach her new skills and they stay consistent with it. This shows at home! I honestly wouldn’t want her to attend any other school . The teachers are wonderful and kind and so is the Director who is also so sweet, kind and caring. I love the fact that they provide diapers so it’s no problem in having to worry about that. A lot of schools don’t do that.
I would strongly encourage parents to look elsewhere before choosing this center for your childcare needs. While I didn't always feel this way, it has significantly changed over the years. I have three boys and we started at this center in 2018 when my oldest was an infant and while we had many positive experiences and memories there over the years, we recently pulled our youngest two boys due to significant safety concerns, questions regarding appropriate supervision and staffing and overall lack of structure and educational activities. *To note, the only teachers we truly trusted were Ms. Lillian and Ms. Deysy*
My experience with La Petite has been amazing. My daughter came in 1 1/2 years old and has been thriving. She has made friends in her class and loves the teacher/staff.She is learning a lot.
My experience with this center has been extremely disappointing, especially in how they’ve handled my 3-year-old daughter. On her 5th day of attendance, the director suggested that I get her evaluated for ADHD or autism — based solely on behavior that is completely normal for a 3-year-old adjusting to a new environment. On her 7th day, she told me that their school may not be the right fit for her. Then on her 8th day, I was called at work and told to come pick her up because she was climbing on cots and not listening. During that call, the director admitted there are 15 children to one teacher and the teacher cannot properly supervise my child and ensure her safety. The program director said she was too busy herself to assist and I had to leave work immediately. Instead of using any developmentally appropriate strategies, they pushed the responsibility onto me — resulting in me leaving work and losing wages. To make sure I wasn’t overreacting, I scheduled a consultation with a licensed child therapist. After I explained everything that happened, the therapist confirmed that my daughter’s behavior is completely age-appropriate and said the school’s response wasn’t just inappropriate — she described it as gaslighting, making me second-guess my child’s development when nothing is actually wrong. There is a clear lack of patience, understanding of child development, and willingness to support children who may need a little more structure and guidance. For transparency, I’ll say my 5-month-old son has been well cared for at the center with no issues. But based on how my daughter has been treated, I would not recommend this center to any parent of a toddler — especially those who expect empathy, support, and professionalism.
When I say highly not recommended I mean just that! My daughter is 2 and when I say that every time she attends this day care she’s sick. Not just a normal cold, I mean since she was 1 and started going here it was always something different every week. I went months without taking her there thinking maybe it was normal and her immune system had to build up. No, it is unsanitary. They allow kids to run around screaming all day, noses running literally just a complete mess. It has been more than once that I’ve had to reach out about the way that I watched some of the teachers interact with the kids watching from the app. I mean snatching toys out of the kids hands, grabbing them aggressively. Not to mention how short staffed they are. I’ve counted 11 2 yr olds in one class with only one teacher. I mean who wouldn’t be overwhelmed with that. There’s no real learning, it’s just horrible. Today was the absolute final straw for me when I got a call from Sebrina (the director) telling me that my baby was struggling to breathe and I need to come get her. Like excuse me? What are you’re protocols? Then she went on to say if you aren’t on the way I am calling 911. Don’t you think if you are telling me my baby is struggling to breathe that should have been the first thing you did? It’s honestly sad, this day care should not be up and running at all. My child will never return here again. Keep your kids away from this place please!
