The management team at this facility is completely unprofessional and unprepared. We were given only two days’ notice to find alternate childcare, and were told that our children would now only be eligible for half-day care — defined as 2PM to 5PM. If our livelihood weren’t on the line, this would almost be laughable. To make matters worse, the manager denied being a daycare, despite the fact that our childcare assistance has been paying them for services! My children have special needs and cannot simply be placed in a standard daycare. Now, I’m being forced to enroll them in kindergarten — against the recommendation of their doctors — just to keep my job. This is unacceptable. Families like mine rely on consistent, reliable care. What happened here shows a serious lack of consideration, communication, and accountability.
Beyond the best daycare team I have been involved with. My children and I moved to Georgetown a little over a year ago. My youngest child attended to 2 other daycares before we found Bluegrass Early Care and Education. We have been enrolled with BEC&E over a year now, needless to say, I am so thankful to have met such a wonderful group of people. All of the staff treat my child and I like family. They always go above and beyond to give each child a great learning environment. I couldn’t have hand picked a better teacher for my child, and as a mother this is all one can dream of. Knowing my child is in great hands while I am away is a true blessing.
Was told we have two days to find another daycare because they were downsizing per the director. Teachers are great. Loved this daycare, honestly. I’ve waited since March 2021 for a spot. He attended for almost two months. The director kept sending the same sheet (enrollment form document) home to fill out saying she needed it back and each time we filled it out and sent it back the next day, they would send home another the following week. Not sure what that was about but I wouldn’t recommend this place while she is the director.
My son (4 year old attending) absolutely LOVES miss Katie!!!! All the teachers and staff are wonderful but miss Katie stands out. She is just amazing with all the kids. The crafts that the kids do during the week makes my little so happy to bring home something he made!! There are times that he is upset but only bc they are teaching him structure, manners, how to have fun in a safe fun environment. He has learned so much and it is even better when the staff and parents work together to raise the kids. It takes a tribe to raise kids and I am glad my son has the best!!! "It takes a village to raise a child!" I am so thankful that Bluegrass Early Care and Education is apart of our "village"! My son is thriving, learning, and having fun every day at BECE. It gives my husband and I peace of mind that our little one is being cared for and loved while we have to be away from him. We would recommend this facility and teachers to anyone!
