What Parents Say
Blossom Center for Childhood Excellence receives mixed reviews with significant concerns about safety, medical accommodations, and director responsiveness. While some parents praise staff warmth and developmental activities, multiple parents report serious issues including inadequate handling of medical emergencies, poor hygiene practices, safety concerns, and dismissive leadership.
We absolutely LOVE blossom ! They listen and they have helped my son grow and sprout as a toddler. They are always doing cool and awesome stuff with or for the kids. I would give them a 5 star review any day of the week. I always get updated about my baby through the app. And great workers!
I had a deeply troubling experience with Blossom Center regarding the care of my foster daughter, who has a severe peanut allergy. She was denied access to daycare because her Epi-Pen wasn’t labeled exactly as they required and we didn’t yet have a formal action plan on file—despite working to get everything in place. While safety policies are important, what’s even more alarming is that the staff told me they couldn’t legally administer the Epi-Pen in an emergency. This raises serious concerns about the center’s ability to respond to medical situations. It became very clear that they are not equipped to safely or responsibly handle children with medical needs. One staff member even asked if it would be okay to eat peanuts around my child, despite knowing about her allergy. On another occasion, while she was in their care, staff admitted they didn’t even know where her Epi-Pen was. To make matters worse, the director was incredibly rude and dismissive throughout the process. Instead of working collaboratively to support my child’s safety and inclusion, I was met with coldness and inflexibility. As a foster parent, I expected professionalism, compassion, and a genuine concern for children’s well-being—and unfortunately, I didn’t experience any of that here. I strongly urge Blossom Center to reevaluate their policies, staff training, and leadership approach before putting any more children at risk or causing additional distress to families.
I cant believe any parent would keep their child here. The most unprofessional rude staff ive ever met. The place is not safe and kids get hurt all the time. Not to mention its germ ridden. Avoid at all costs. It isnt worth your kids safety and health.
Would not recommended my kid got hand foot and mouth more times then I can count i watched of one the caretakers pour a cup of milk my kid drunk from into the pitcher of milk the other kids were drinking out of.
I've come back to update my review. I've spoken with their new director and I've seen some positive changes over the last few weeks. It was easy to get a meeting with the director, and I felt she listened and wanted to help find a solution to the issues I was having. While I'm still hesitant to give them a glowing review I have always felt like my child is safe and well cared for at Blossom. Some of the staff is wonderful and my child and I love them. When my child was in the 3 year old room, I would have rated them 5 stars most days. However, the long changeover in directors has left me with more concerns, and I only hope that finally having a new person in place will continue to improve things.
