What Parents Say
Bellaire Learning Center receives predominantly positive feedback regarding staff quality, cleanliness, and classroom environment. However, some parents reported serious concerns about incident management transparency in the toddler classroom and significant organizational issues with the enrollment process.
Do not recommend! I loved my baby’s infant teachers Susan and Wendy! They were great. Since my baby has been in the two year old class we get incident reports at least twice a week. There was recently an incident. I had to leave work and come pick my child up “immediately.” When we arrived there was no one there that we could talk to about the incident. So I ended up having a conversation over the phone. I asked to review the footage of the incident, I was told no I just have to believe what she said. I expressed how this was getting frustrating getting these incident reports so often, I was told “you don’t think my staff is frustrated!” After hearing that I don’t trust them with my child. My two year old child is frustrating supposedly child care professionals? I was also told most parents come in apologizing but we didn’t. And she makes the decisions if my baby gets to stay or not. All we wanted to do was see exactly what happened and after reviewing the footage there might could have been an apology. She eventually stated she didn’t believe my baby did this on purpose(but it was so important she had to be picked up immediately)
My son is two and has loved going to this daycare! Everyone from the director to the teachers are welcoming and caring towards the parents and children. They are also extremely effective, professional, and transparent with any concerns that may come up.
I put my child on the waiting list at Bellaire south in September 2023. I had not heard anything come March 2024 so I called and was told that enrollment would happen in May. Come May 3rd and I called again for an update and was told that applications started over in April and we would need to reapply. This is a new process they started due to disorganization on their end within excel when it came to the waiting list (was told this by a staff member). We never received a phone call notifying us of the process change and that we’d need to reapply. Now we’re having to start all over again at different daycares after having waited 8 months to be enrolled at Bellaire. Tonya, the enrollment manager, is unable to give a reason why applicants were not notified but enjoys using the line “we look into families to see if their child would be a good fit”. With that being said, it sounds like it’s somehow her personal discretion whether or not children are enrolled and/or never notified when she changes the enrollment process. This same issue has happened to another individual whom had been on their waiting list since November 2023.
If you value the safety of your children do not send them to this daycare. My son went here for a little over 2 and 1/2 years. I am absolutely disgusted with the way the person in charge handled a situation involving the safety of my son.
I (was) a member of Bellaire Baptist my whole life and I'm 39....we left the church, as well as my mother, after how my children were treated by the directors of the facility and the lack of give a crap by the church administration. It is appalling that this is supposed to be a Christian establishment and all the lies being spewed on this page...is disgusting. I don't recommend the learning center or the church.
