I’ve heard wonderful things about this program from a friend whose children attend—she can’t say enough about how amazing the staff and the curriculum are. That said, she has mentioned some concerns that make me wonder. For example, it’s been brought up that one staff member is often left alone with 12 or 13 children at a time. When I visited the center today with her to pick up her child, I saw a staff member who was clearly overwhelmed, out of breath, and seemingly in the middle of a panic attack. It really makes me question; its clear the children are getting the level of attention and care they deserve but is the staff themselves being given the support they need to function properly.
The staff and A-ministration ( leadership) of Baby’s Space are fully committed to the holistic and personal growth of the children they cater for. Their care actually serves the whole families needs, creating a safe and healthy environment, offering services and resources promoting physical and mental health and opportunities for full parental engagement. There are also opportunities for parents to become board members and leaders in the nurturing of their children and community. I was deeply impressed by the passion ,compassion and commitment that I witnessed when I visited in December 2024. Commitment to building healthy community from the youngest family member to the most senior family member very apparent and respect for culture and values a priority.
I just wanna say that I love this program my two older children use to attend the day care portion and then eventually graduated into the then school Tatanka Academy and graduated from there into a regular/public setting.. They learned so much being there and always everyday came back home with stars in their eyes
