What Parents Say
Parents consistently praise Avenues Preschool for its warm, caring staff and safe, clean environment. Reviewers highlight excellent communication through the Brightwheel app with daily updates, structured curriculum, and strong teacher-child relationships. Multiple families report their children's significant developmental progress and enthusiasm for attending.
I couldn’t be happier with our experience at Child Time. From the moment I walk in, the teachers, staff, and director are always smiling, warm, and welcoming. It gives me so much peace of mind knowing our child is in such caring hands. The team pays attention to every detail—whether it’s sharing how naps went, how much was eaten, or the little milestones throughout the day. They also send me pictures and videos, which is such a thoughtful touch and helps me feel connected. On top of that, they update everything through the Brightwheel app—nap times, how much my child ate, diaper changes, and more—so I always know exactly how the day is going. It’s clear that everyone here genuinely cares about the children, and that makes all the difference. I am so grateful to have found such a nurturing, attentive, and professional environment for my child. Highly recommend!
Both of our children have attended The Avenues Preschool—our daughter previously and our son currently. The teachers and staff have been attentive and responsive to questions. The environment is clean and safe, and we regularly receive updates on our child's daily activities. The curriculum is structured, and our kids have learned a lot during their time here. Overall, our family has had a positive experience.
Mixed Experience: Excellent Environment for Children, But Significant Parental Cooperation and Communication Issues While the environment for the children is generally decent, our family's overall experience was deeply marred by a consistent lack of flexibility and professionalism in dealing with parents. Positive Aspects: The initial tour and communications were excellent, setting a high expectation for the program. Great structure Areas of Concern and Breakdown of Trust: • Lack of Compassion and Financial Rigidity: When our son had a medical emergency and broke his leg, requiring a month's absence, the administration refused to offer reduced tuition to hold his spot, demonstrating a disheartening lack of flexibility or compassion for a temporary medical situation. • Poor Transition Planning and Broken Promises: Upon our return, the school reorganized the classrooms and failed to pre-communicate his placement. Despite being promised on the tour that he would move up with his existing peer group, this promise was broken, and he was not placed with the rest of his former class. • Unprofessional Enrollment/Refund Policy: We formally unenrolled our son on the 26th of the month, requesting that the upcoming September tuition payment not be processed since the withdrawal was finalized before the 1st of the month. The school processed the automatic payment early on the 28th and subsequently refused a refund, despite the clear pre-1st of the month withdrawal notice. The communication from both the site director and regional director regarding the refund was extremely disheartening. • Inflexibility and Stringent Rules: The facility has a reputation for being unwilling to work with parents on issues like nap time. Our child was forced to nap 2 hours , when we expressed concern that he was staying up until 11 and we would like them to limit naps , there was no willingness to collaborate .While they advertise "open drop-off and pick-up hours," they actually enforce very stringent cutoffs and pressure parents to "normalize" their schedule, negating the advertised flexibility. • High Staff Turnover and Safety Concerns: There is a high turnover rate of teachers, which is disruptive to the children. More concerning is the issue of double standards in treatment and child safety. Our son, as a three-year-old, was bitten four times in a single week. This contrasted sharply with an earlier incident when he was 1.5 years old: he bit another child, and we were warned that he would be removed from the program if the behavior was not "fixed." The lack of similar urgency or consequences when he was repeatedly a victim of biting in the older class is alarming and demonstrates a concerning double standard in their behavioral management policy. In conclusion, while the core environment appears suitable for children, the terrible cooperation with parents, financial rigidity, poor communication, and inconsistent application of safety and disciplinary rules made our experience extremely negative and ultimately led to our decision to withdraw. Also the site director Stacey is beyond rude to parents and their concerns. Nate was great
Child Time Inc. has been a wonderful place for my son. The staff is incredibly friendly, and I always feel confident that he’s in safe hands. They provide great communication, with live updates on diaper changes, feedings, and occasional photos, which really helps me stay connected during the day. It's reassuring to see everything documented in real time. Overall, we’ve had a positive experience, and I’d highly recommend Child Time Inc. for anyone looking for a reliable and caring childcare option. My sons teachers are kind & patient & you can tell they just adore all their kids in their class. Even the teachers in the other classes know my son when we leave they tell him bye and use his name as he smiles and waves at them. I am so glad we found this place after touring so many daycares we found the perfect spot for our little guy!
We love this daycare! They’ve done an incredible job welcoming us to the community and our daughter loves her teachers.
