What Parents Say
NOTE: These reviews are for ACAC Richmond's fitness facility, not a daycare center. The reviews do mention a 'kid zone' offering 2 hours of childcare supervision while parents use the gym. Reviews consistently praise the facility's cleanliness, staff friendliness, diverse amenities, and overall quality as a health club.
Honest Review — 5 Stars I genuinely love working out at ACAC Midlothian. Like anywhere, it has pros and cons, but the positives far outweigh the negatives. PROS: - Knowledgeable trainers, friendly membership advisors, an inviting front desk team, and excellent massage therapists. - Big shout-out to the janitorial staff — locker rooms are cleaned regularly, towels are always available, and they’re consistently friendly and helpful. - Fantastic amenities: sauna, steam room, showers, indoor track, tennis courts, indoor & outdoor pools, a whirlpool, basketball court, kid zone, snack bar, and a wide range of group classes (some I still need to try). - A nice bonus is the secure cubby lockers on the gym floor with bracelet keys, plus the option to request a lock and key at the front desk for locker room use. - Special thanks to Mac, the personal trainer I work with, and David, who has been huge for recovery through deep-tissue massage. There are a lot of hardworking professionals here who genuinely make the gym a great place to be. CONS: - It gets crowded during peak hours (which speaks to how popular it is). Finding certain machines can be tough, but most members are open to sharing if you ask. - After school hours can get noisy near the snack bar, where groups of kids often congregate and crowd the area, sometimes making it difficult to access the locker rooms. It doesn’t bother me enough to affect my rating, but it’s worth knowing — and a good incentive to work out earlier in the day if you prefer a quieter environment. Overall, this is a high-quality gym with great people, excellent amenities, and a welcoming atmosphere. An easy 5-star experience for me.
Huge thank you to Julio and Brandon at Crunch Fitness Midlothian. My car battery died while I was working out, and they immediately helped me out. Both were incredibly kind, calm, and supportive, and went out of their way to make sure I was okay. This level of care really says a lot about the people who work here. Grateful for the help and the great environment.
Have been a member for a couple of years now and I am a big fan. From the lap pool, to yoga classes, to the functional fitness area, this gym has a great variety and is one of the most well rounded total gyms in the area.
ACAC Management - thank you for addressing the concern(s) over the unattended (under 18) children roaming the gym. It makes a big difference and asking for even kid's names at the front during the 'check in' process further ensures kids aren't just walking in without a guardian. Much appreciation for all you do for a broad spectrum of members!
Our family is very happy with the Short Pump facility for fitness and Midlothian for the pools and especially the camps. Everything is done as a first class service experience with a focus on excellence.
