Acres Of Play

My husband is working behind this facility and witnessed two different employees yelling and screaming at toddlers today, and then one of the male employees picked up a child by the arm and was screaming in his face. My husband spoke to the owner, and she tried to defend the employees by 'explaining that child's background' and said she told the employee to take a break. As a parent, I do not feel that there is ever a time where it is ok for someone to put their hands on my child, or anyone else's. I want to know my kids are safe in the hands of the 'responsible' adults caring for them. We are filing complaints with the proper authorities, but want to make sure parents are aware of what goes on at this childcare center.

We found Acres of Play after our small in-home Day Care closed in March 2020, due to Covid-19 restrictions. Our children have been attending Acres of Play since 6/1/20. They opened their doors for the children of Essential Workers, which saved our jobs. Since I was new to using Day Cares, Acres of Play 's 'Play-based' philosophy was really unique. It allows children to explore, create and experience the world around them, with a focus outdoors. Miss D'Lynn (owner) and her staff are responsible, caring, loving and nurturing. They teach kindness and encourage socializing the school aged kids and toddlers together. I have seen a sweet and affectionate side of my son when he is with the infants! Right now our children are learning to talk and practice their manners. Bring your children Acres of Play, they will love it! It is a wonderful place to send your child.

Love the care my grandchildren are getting here. They feel like family. The boys have really adjusted to being in school rather than grandma's house. Now... If only Grandma can adjust to their absence!!
