If you are looking for a home away from home, this is the school for your children. We enrolled our son at 10 months old and he loved it all the way to PK graduation. The owners Mrs. Maysa and Mr Aram are fantastic people- always there to be a helping hand and really love the kids and focus on development. The staff/teachers are all outstanding- our son loved all his teachers. Mrs Sarah, Mrs Katie and Mrs Sophia are really special, day in and day out they greet the kids with a smile and truly love the children. If you take your kids to The Step Ahead, you will never look back! Truly outstanding school for the little ones!

We are so incredibly grateful for our time at A Step Ahead Preschool & Montessori. Both of our children attended—our son from age 3 until he graduated preschool, and our daughter from just 3 months old to 19 months. With our son’s upcoming kindergarten now miles in the opposite direction, we had to make the difficult decision to move to a different location but we truly wish we could have kept my daughter at A Step Ahead. This school has been such a gift to our family. Our son made his very first friends here and grew into such a confident, happy kid. Every day at pick up, he was often all smiles talking about his day. We saw how much he was learning, not just letters and numbers, but also how to speak up kindly, advocate for himself, and be part of a real community. We became close with so many other families, and it truly felt like a second home. His preschool graduation was the perfect send-off of songs, diplomas, aknowledgment of the parents, and even a breakfast. It was such a touching and bittersweet celebration. For our daughter, A Step Ahead has been there since her very first drop-off at just three months old (which I’ll never forget because I cried, and the staff comforted me with so much compassion). Our daughter blossomed in their hands—she is so smart, strong, and independent. She walks, runs, and climbs like a pro, and she already knows to put her toys away at home. She’s joyful, curious, and ahead in her milestones—and most importantly, we always knew she was loved and supported every day she was there. Thank you to the staff and teachers at A Step Ahead Preschool & Montessori. Thank you for creating such a warm, nurturing, and enriching environment. You’ve left a lasting mark on our family, and we will always be grateful.

Our family has had the distinct pleasure of being part of the A Step Ahead Montessori and Preschool community for the past 8 years, with both of our children attending. Our experience has been overwhelmingly positive from start to finish. The owners and operators, Aram and Maysa, are simply wonderful. They have consistently gone above and beyond to accommodate not only our children's individual needs but ours as parents too, creating a true partnership. They have fostered an environment that is incredibly positive, nurturing, safe, and immaculately clean – exactly what you hope for in a place dedicated to learning and development. Our children have absolutely thrived there; honestly, there were many days when they didn't want to leave at pick-up time because they were having so much fun and felt so comfortable! Over the years, we've encountered many dedicated teachers and caretakers, but Ms. Sarah and Ms. Katie hold a particularly special place in our hearts. The genuine care, love, and trust they build with the children is evident – they truly care from the heart, and our kids adore them. As our youngest child now moves on to public school, we are genuinely sad to be leaving A Step Ahead. It speaks volumes about the atmosphere that even now, when our older son visits, he's welcomed back with open arms like family. If you are looking for high-quality, high-value childcare in Phoenix where your child will be loved, nurtured, and encouraged to learn, we cannot recommend A Step Ahead highly enough. It’s been more than just a school; it's been a foundational part of our children's early years, and we are incredibly grateful.

We couldn’t be more grateful for the amazing experience our daughter Penelope had at A Step Ahead! From the very first day, Aram, Ms Meza and the rest of the staff created such a loving, nurturing environment where she felt safe, supported, and excited to learn. The curriculum was engaging and well-balanced — blending creative play, early academics, and important social-emotional skills. Penelope came home every day with new stories, new songs, and a huge smile on her face. It’s clear that Miss Sofia and the other educators here are passionate about what they do and truly care about each child’s development. As parents, we felt welcomed and included every step of the way. Communication was always clear, and we appreciated the updates and photos throughout the week in their app! Watching Penelope grow in confidence and curiosity has been such a joy — and we credit so much of that to her time here. A Step Ahead has been incredible! We've been bringing our daughter there since she was 6 months old—she’s now 4—and we've never looked back. During the height of COVID, we were understandably cautious about whom we trusted with our baby’s care. I'm so grateful we chose this center. My husband, a lawyer who represents victims of negligence in care facilities, was especially thorough in ensuring this place met our high standards. From day one, we’ve felt completely confident that our daughter is in excellent hands.
