We love the teachers at the YWCA Children’s Center. They take such great care of my toddlers.

If you have a child struggling with emotional/behavior issues this is not the place for them. My child was here for 4 days before “they didn’t think it was a good fit” for her, I will say when school started back she was struggling it was her first time being seperated from her brothers & the virtual learning was completely new to her, she did give the teachers a hard time BUT I do not have a bad child, they called me complaining everyday she wouldn’t do her work and they can’t sit with her to be sure she does it.... isn’t that what the program was for? Mind you she is in KINDERGARTEN and has never used a computer it may be similar to tablets but it’s different, once I was able to sit down with her and get her caught up on some work I noticed she was struggling using the mouse (everything was push & touch) nobody here mentioned that me so it made me feel like okayy are you all even trying with her bc that’s something you should notice ? I felt they did not have any desire to work with her they just wanted to get her out as soon as they could. “She won’t do her work” ... who is the teacher & who is the student? I know my kid & after all this I just feel she wasn’t comfortable someone there did not make her feel comfortable my daughter gravitates to people she gets good vibes from she super cuddly & loving but she struggled here.. 4 days. It was like they were terrified of her or something, again I’m not taking away from the fact she did give them a hard time but they was not a caring bone in their body to channel in with her ...so again if you have a child that struggles with emotional or behavior issues this is not the place, they don’t go the extra mile for those type of kids they just put them out. She is now somewhere else & doing great so again I just feel like someone here was not making her feel welcomed and it’s hard to get a good vibe or sense of what’s going on because they won’t let you past the front doors.
