What Parents Say
Youthland Academy receives overwhelmingly positive feedback from most parents, who praise the caring staff, safe environment, and child development. However, a small number of recent negative reviews cite unprofessional teacher behavior toward struggling toddlers and concerns about management practices.
If you're looking for a place that treats your child like their own, this is it. I never worried about my child's safety. The owner and employees are really good, quality people. My son learned so much and definitely went to kindergarten more than prepared. We loved all of the field trips, center activities and crafts. Very clean, high quality childcare.
My family and I absolutely LOVE Youthland Academy!! The center Director, Ms. Sandi, and the teachers who take care of our 2 & 5 year old kids are extremely Loving, Sweet, Trustworthy and Caring!!! They have become like family to us and we highly recommend this daycare center to anyone who is considering enrolling their child(ren) here!!! We are truly blessed to have such wonderful childcare!
I would be VERY, VERY cautious of sending your child (age 2) to their toddler room . This type of environment was brand new for my son, as he had never attended a daycare facility like this. Understandably so, he was struggling a bit at drop offs, and I was too. He was crying and didn't want me to leave him, so I hung out for a couple of minutes trying to calm him down on day 2. After multiple check ins throughout day, and being reassured that he was doing ok, and adjusting throughout the day, we went back for day 3-today. I went in with the mindset that I would try to drop and go instead of standing with him, hoping this might make it easier for him. So, I did just that. I exited the classroom, and stood in the lobby where he couldn't see me to ensure he was ok. What I saw next was one of the teacher's (Chandra) come up to him, roll her eyes, and rudely say, "can we not cry all day today?!" Then I saw one of the other teacher's giggle, and then she noticed me still standing there, and motioned towards the other. At that time, she picked my son up and sat him down at a table and walked away. What my child desperately needed was compassion, understanding, and patience as he adjusted to a brand-new environment of teachers and children. What he got was the exact opposite. He received a cold, rude interaction with someone who clearly could not have cared less that he was upset and struggling. My heart aches thinking about all of the interactions that I didn't witness over the last 2 days, because after what I saw, I am certain that this wasn't the first time she was rude to my child. I gave myself some time to calm down, and contacted the director (who really is great) to let her know about what I had witnessed, and withdrew him immediately. She was very apologetic, and I could tell she felt bad, but this is inexcusable. The guilt and heartbreak I feel is something I hope no other parent ever has to experience. My advice is to keep looking if you have a toddler. I unfortunately cannot recommend this place after my experience.
I really enjoyed this particular location. My son was in the infant room and the caretakers there really love what they do. They were great at communicating to the parents. It was safe, clean and affordable. So sad to leave due to a change in job😭
My kids still talk about this place. It’s been about 8 years ago now but everyone was very positive, upbeat, and caring. I had been through so many daycares that I didn’t ever want to step foot back into again and I was so thankful to find this one. The experience was great the entire time for all 3 of my kids.
