What Parents Say
Cincinnati Nature Center Preschool is not a daycare facility—reviews describe it as a nature center with hiking trails, visitor centers, and recreational activities. Visitors consistently praise its well-maintained grounds, diverse trail options, wildlife viewing opportunities, and family-friendly amenities including a playscape for children.
Peaceful place to walk. Well maintained trails, clean restrooms, and in certain seasons, the opportunity to feed turtles. In the ponds where feeding is not allowed it is common to see turtles sunning, frogs, and sometimes even newts. An excellent pollinator garden plus a variety of natural play areas for children. Wildflowers and naturalized bulbs bloom through the warmer months. In September, fall crocus bloom.
Enjoy my membership. Like the bird walks and trail yoga. Live music. Miles of hiking trails. Native plant sale. Many events for all ages and scouting.
Great park, me and my daughter went to see the Earnocular had a hard time finding it. Staff was really nice. Will be back
1st— there is an entry fee to get in. I have a pass which was $40/yr. If you are single, a couple or family, and you plan to visit often, I HIGHLY suggest purchasing a pass. If you pay to enter that will be deducted from the pass you purchase. There are restrooms, a welcome/educational area/store. I did see a lot of people with pets although I’m not sure about all trails allowing dogs. The entire nature playscape are absolutely awesome if you have children. Trails range in distance and difficulty so do your due diligence in checking. There is one trail that has like a gazillion steps. Took me a minute and a half to descend all the stairs at a normal pace (I’m short) It’s very scenic though.
The Cincy Nature Center is a favorite place to go for my family. The trails are great, and we love seeing all of the wildlife and the plants/fungi there. Getting a membership is definitely the best deal, and we make VERY good use of ours. The Visitor Center is very neat and they also have a "Playscape" that is perfect for little kids to have play in. There is a lake for feeding turtles in the warm weather, and lots of ponds throughout the center. Favorite Trails: Lookout (walk through fields and woods) , Geology (Creek crossings! Great in the summer) , Fernwood (very woodsy feeling and good elevation)
