What Parents Say
Parents consistently praise YMCA Paulding Early Learning as an excellent childcare facility with caring, welcoming staff and a clean, organized environment. The long waitlist is viewed as a reflection of the center's quality rather than a drawback. Children reportedly feel safe, happy, and well-cared for, with parents experiencing peace of mind.
I honestly can’t say enough good things about the YMCA. I have had two children attend the center and it’s been nothing short of amazing both times. My older son who is now almost 8 still remembers his teachers at the Y. And now my 1 year old’s teachers are the absolute best. I never feel nervous or anxious leaving him for the day. I know he is in good hands and will treat him as their own. All of the staff is extremely nice and welcoming. I always recommend them to anyone looking for childcare.
My daughter used to be at a Childcare Network and we put her on the wait list for the Y in August, by December she was in. I was given an estimate of 4 months for the wait list which was long but it was well worth the wait, she is happier, staff is wonderful. The center is organized, communicative, clean. Students AND staff are very diverse and there is never any discrimination whatsoever , everyone is welcome..... it's absurd someone suggested that is the reason for them not getting off the wait list. It's a great school, that's why there is a wait list. I am also thankful there is a preschool she has priority enrollment to so she can stay in the same environment with her friends. I feel such a weight off my shoulders knowing my kid is safe and loved at daycare.
The faculty provides wrong information for the public to make space for their PRIORITY students. If you are a minority this school will discriminate I filed an application for my daughter for the school year 2022-2023 after asking a staff member if she would qualify, I was told she does qualify, As July 2022 approached I called because I was told I would receive an email concerning the pre-K program. I never got an email so I called them just to find out that she will not qualify because of age, then I asked if I needed to fill another application. The lady told me that it was unnecessary that the same application will fill for next year. Now the year 2023-2024 in April I verified with a staff member to make sure everything is fine with my daughter's status and the lady said that everything is fine all I need to do is wait for an email in July (again with the email). July comes around and no so-called email is received then I call YMCA once again and explain the situation to the staff just to be told that the school only accepts new applications filled on January of the year being applied for. This is two school years in a row that I have told my daughter that she will attend school all because of staff incompetence and lack of goodwill they only worry about themselves and their priority students. Hope this helps future parents because it is unfair that we have such corrupt practices in a school that is funded by the government.
This daycare has been awesome to me and my family. They are always so nice and friendly and know your child. Very secure and affordable. The waitlist can be long but it is most certainly worth the wait. Mrs. Tameeka and Mrs. Stacy is the best teachers. We feel very comfortable leaving him in YMCA Care every day.
So far... So good... No major complaints... Daughter seems happy... Staff seems to be very nice and seem to be taking good care of my baby... After moving her a couple of times, I think I'm going to stay here. I've gone at various times to get a perspective of the daily practices, and all seems to be legit.
