This gym was the go-to for years, eventually letting leaks in the ceiling, a dumbbell broke and went months without one before just fixing the same broken one.. Where I ended up cancelling my membership was when they wouldn’t let me enter past the doors with my can of redbull. As I’m lifting people walk in with cans so they’re picking and choosing who can go in with “any drink besides water now”. Because someone else spills a drink and I have to take fault for this? Regardless I’m paying $20 less/month for better equipment,24/7 access, and I can bring my drink in anytime🤠. Imo just better off trying a new gym or sneak your drinks in your bag
Staff is friendly and helpful, equipment is old, but well maintained. 2 stars due to recent events. As someone who is used to being able to have access to a gym and working out 5-6 times a week I appreciate a gym that is available. The week of January 26th this location was on an adjusted hour schedule due to weather closing at 4pm. My work schedule does not permit this but understand the circumstances and that staffing can be an issue and appreciate them trying to open, but didn’t work for most people in the work force. That weekend was unable to workout due to an event held at the Y, which we were notified of, so no fault to them there either, but disappointed that I was unable to workout. Tonight, February 2nd my wife and I set aside time and aid from grandparents to watch the kids and arrive to the employee at the desk stating he can not let me enter due to my pass saying account under review after attending for 6 months and account being on auto payroll deduction seeing the charge come out on 1/30. Employee was doing his job, was respectful, and very kind whenever we come in, but due to Management and facility issues (such as the steam room being down since I joined, sauna issues, issues with my account that do not seem to be on my end, etc. ) I will be exploring other options dependent on the outcome of how this is handled.
Love this location. Staff are wonderful. I took private swimming classes that were excellent. The equipment is always clean.
I was very disappointed with this Y. I have been at others and this one was the worst. Old broken equipment. Bad hours. I cancled my membership a week before it was due. They still took it out and I was not able to finish the month. Needless to say. I went somewhere else.
I have only one thing to say. They should let 13 year olds go to the gym part of the Y after they do the equipment training session, or they could go with a parent.
