What Parents Say
Parents praise the Lafayette YMCA for its excellent childcare services, with teachers described as wonderful and staff as helpful and competent. The facility offers quality programming including fitness classes, swimming, hockey, and youth sports, creating a strong sense of community. Families appreciate the affordable pricing and long-term value the organization provides.
The Lafayette YMCA has so many resources available for keeping fit. The equipment, classes, spaces, and instructors are really wonderful. The members and staff are very friendly and there's a great sense of community. I only joined the Y a few years ago as I had previously been someone who exercised at home or outside. But I've really grown to love the Y and all it has to offer. I'll be a member for life!
Really like this gym and new equipment. I have been a member and going to the Lafayette location for one year now, very good experience. Kisa is my personal trainer - she is fantastic!! She motivates me while keeping me focused. Side Note: If you have been thinking about personal training sessions - I recommend signing up for a few to start, they will help you with target areas and reinforce the correct use of the equipment to prevent injury. ππ»
Great experience! Been a member for over 15yrs. Loved when kids were young and still love it now! Solid free weights, plenty of machines, great hours, loads of classes. And the Y supports kids and families in many other ways. They are a pillar of our community.
I'd be here multiple times a week if they made it easy to just show up, pay, and skate. The ridiculous process of registering, using a QR code, without even a printed schedule ANYWHERE? I'll spend my money at another rink.
I love the Lafayette Y! The Y has been there for me and my family since we moved to Lafayette in 2007. As a young mom, the childcare provided me a much needed break for exercise and recharging. Our 3 kids participated in sports over the years and also enjoyed the Kids Tri. When I wanted to do my first Sprint Triathlon, the Y helped me train. The exercise classes and yoga have helped me make friends and community that I see in my classes every week. I also appreciate that the Y has stayed affordable over the years as the cost of everything else increases. I now serve on the board and enjoy being involved with fundraising, programming and giving input to staff.
