Wee Care (Weekday Early Ed)

We love our church. The pastor and his wife are so genuine. The intentions set here are pure. We've been here for a year after searching for a home church. We felt comfortable immediately. I was worried about finding a church that our kids enjoy and one that I felt comfortable leaving my children with during Sunday school. The children's ministry is great and trustable. As a mom, that is so important. It feels welcoming here, and we felt that from our very first visit. Music is a mix of hymns and modern. Little bit of each for everyone. We wanted a church that felt "real". It's not about anything other than what it should be about here. This is not just a church but a community of accepting and loving people who just want to learn about Jesus. That's what we love about it here.

I was welcomed warmly approximately 20 years ago and this church family has become my family. It is filled with God loving, fun filled people who enjoy each other's company and lift up their worship to the God most high every chance they get. We are further blessed with wonderful staff who go above and beyond in serving the church family and community. I recommend the church to anyone looking for a church home to worship. This church is a place where the Gospel of Jesus Christ is preached, where the members are loving, generous and welcoming. Unfortunately, people expect it to be an "exclusive" church where they will be treated poorly and where they are expected to wear "above average" clothing. That could not be further from the truth. There is a spirit of expectation for the Holy Spirit to speak to us in every service and there are many family friendly programs and events. We are truly blessed with a pastor who loves the Lord with all his heart, with a minister of music who embodies the joy that comes from knowing Jesus Christ as his personal savior, and a youth minister who has decades of experience working with our teens. The programs for people of all ages are well thought out and everyone has a place among us.

LaFayette First Baptist Church has been my home church since 1972. It has had many programs, studies, projects, and a variety of changes through the years. However, I've never known our church to be as thriving as it is today! Our community and area interests are at a peak, with outreach ministries and activities for all ages. There is an abundance of learning opportunities, with an emphasis of Love, Learn, Live. Easy access for all, with special needs attendees accommodated fully. The word of God is taught at LaFayette First, and our membership is one big family. These are only some of the things I love about our church. We put God first, and all else follows and falls into place!

LaFayette First Baptist Church has embraced us and made us feel like family! What better place to worship our God, than with family! We are being discipled for growth, prepared to serve, loved on, and commissioned to tell others about Jesus!
