Ymca - Fox West

Love it ....best Ymca pool in the valley. The pool has some salt for added buoyancy. It’s usually pretty quiet and the sun shines through the 2 story window in the morning to brighten your swim with wonderful sunlight. They have kayak classes and a mini golf course....also it’s a good place to recycle your used tennis shoes.

Every time I take my kids swimming more than half the time the lifeguards are on there phone, have ear buds in or telling the children to pick up the toys mind you they are playing and even having a broken leg I make sure everything is picked up I have had nothing but issues with neglect from half of these lifeguards. At one point my son had went under water and I had to jump in myself with clothes because the lifeguard was to busy on her phone. The disgusting looks from the life guards the rude comments. It's very unprofessional Zoey is one one of the lifeguards in particular. 2nd post now making...once again took my children swimming my son accidently went a little to deep and instead or zoey/Corey whatever her name was she just sat there listening to her headphones while my son started to slip under, I was able to get to him fast enough getting myself all wet. I went to the manager a older bigger guy and all he did was correct me about having the girls name wrong and said maybe you should be in the pool with your son then. Very unprofessional me and my children won't be coming back to this place and I will be sure to tell everyone how lifeguards just sit on their phone or have headphones in every single time.

Great YMCA! All of the Y's in the area are awesome with great staff and clean facilities. This one Y in particular is great, with caring staff that make you feel like family! If you are looking for more than just a work-out facility but a place where you and, or your family can thrive this is the place to be! The weights and cardio equipment are new and plenty of it! Check it out.

Decent equipment for weight lifting. They certainly could have more machines and stations for when it is busy, but at least they have one of almost everything. Fairly typical YMCA. Much less crowded after COVID-19, but we will see how long that lasts for. Before COVID there were lots of people who seemed to be there just to converse and socialize with one another, and they just took up valuable space. Now everyone there is pretty serious. Lots of options, and great for families.

BEWARE: Beautiful facility, staff was always kind, but what an absolute nightmare if you have moved and try to cancel! I never knew you had to cancel at the location you signed up; I thought you could cancel at any site-a mistake on my part or poor communication when I signed up. I now live two hours away and because of the distance, I was told I could cancel by email if I contacted the site. The last time I spoke to someone I asked when I would receive the cancellation notice and she had no idea :/ Well, after calling/speaking to someone three times and a week elapsing, I still have not received any email! I So much time has gone by now it is too late to even cancel because you need to contact them/receive the cancellation five days prior to the first. I have definitely learned my lesson and won't be coming back.
