What Parents Say
Parents praise the YMCA Daycare in Auburn as a clean, well-maintained facility with friendly staff and excellent amenities including pools, climbing areas, and various sports activities. Families appreciate the family-friendly atmosphere and community events. The main concern is membership cost, which has increased significantly in recent years.
This is seriously the best YMCA I’ve ever been too. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The facility is up to date and has any exercise item you could possibly need. They even have a splash pad outdoor area and a huge indoor climbing area. My son took swim lessons here and the instructor was great. We got a pass just to be able to use the climbing area. My boys both are obsessed.
Good facility big price tag. Family membership went up $200 in the past 2 years. It was $750 as of February of 2025. A bit steep considering im not getting anything more for my money than I was 2 years ago.
There's always somebody at the front desk to answer questions and to provide assistance. All of the equipment is in good working order and the entire facility is very clean. Construction has never created a problem despite multiple projects occurring at once. Something for people of all ages and abilities here. Child care providers are so nice and helpful with the young ones.
My children and I love going here! We have lived in Auburn (where I grew up) for almost 2 years and I’m so grateful I made this decision to move back to my hometown! The Ymca is starting to grow more and they’re creating a new play area, so my kids are very excited about this! We absolutely love the pool as well!
I love our local Y, been apart of a pickleball group for many years that plays here. The staff at the desk are wonderful and very friendly, But the leadership is slow to address problems when they pop up, if they get back to you at all. They take an adversarial stance against anyone who seeks to have issues addressed, instead of treating us like partners in making the y a great place to play and work out. They have been allowing groups to come into the Gym and blare their music so you cannot even hear the score. It has created an unsafe situation because it's hard to concentrate and injuries then occur. The staff will not even talk to us about it and will not address the groups to turn their music down or play things that honor God. We now have to listen to ungodly music, weather we want to or not.We developed our group of 100 that meet m-f 7-11. But have been told our group must just allow this to happen. We have ages 15-85 playing and a close nit group.
