Nice gym, everything is newer and advanced, however the steamroom in the Men’s lockeroom is gross. It’s one of the only Places I know that doesn’t have a hose to rinse off the seats and backseats. I’ve bright this up multiple times and they say it’s to prevent us from spraying the temperature sensor… just buy a cover for it, or maybe do like Lakewood and install a timed sensor instead. I have witnessed older members wearing diapers and or nothing at all sitting in there. Lots of people don’t shower before going in as well. At least allow us to rise the tiles down before we sit in there. Other than that, Puyallup location is amazing. Just please step your sanitation game up.

I signed up for membership in December based on the discussion that all classes would be free for members, requiring only registration for the desired classes, either online or in person. However, most adult and children's classes incur additional fees, and there is no availability in the afternoon or evening; all classes are scheduled for the morning. I went three days with my children, and all rooms have been reserved, including the pool, which was closed for 14 days. I inquired about the benefits of being a member, and their response indicated that there are classes available in January at an additional cost, offered on a first-come, first-served basis. I questioned why I was paying for December, to which she apologized and stated that they should have informed me about the lack of availability in December! This conversation took place on December 3rd. I also requested a refund for December's fee, but she informed me that this was not possible. This has been my first experience with this establishment. .

Mens locker room/ family changing rooms/ showers are terrible...no garbage cans sometimes, nasty sinks and showers... Plus some of the workers have bad attitudes when asked for help... seems they are oblivious to how good thier job is...

Update 2/23/26: As of today now they have signage (a laminated 8x11” sheet of paper) posted in the multipurpose room. The brown curly haired lady was the instructor. Who was promptly reminded to post her sign when she saw me 8 minutes after her class had started. Seemed like a slight targeted move but she got it posted so now everyone knows what to expect…. I have been a member for a little over a year. There’s nothing that states during classes other people can’t use a small part of the multipurpose/group exercise room. This morning 2/18/26 I was asked to leave by this middle aged lady with curly brown hair, white shirt and black pants, because they “like to have it that way” not because it’s required or posted anywhere. I have seen people walk in there, most particularly men have been able to walk in there and lay out a mat no problem. i said I didn’t know that’s what was policy and she said “it’s okay” I replied stating “the way you approached me it didn’t sound like it” then she said “well it wasn’t that’s why I turned it off” - suggesting the music I guess. The whole class then laughed at me because there was no way that comment she said was actually funny. The way that member approached me with an attitude I didn’t appreciate, but that was likely due to a racial difference or she was choosing to be as bitter as her coffee. I find the double standard to be disturbing but otherwise the place is fine.

I love Mel Korum, the staff, the instructors, and the people in our community are so helpful, kind, and welcoming. Always a big smile from front desk staff arriving and departing. Highly recommend!❤️
