What Parents Say
Wright Brothers Christian Academy receives overwhelmingly positive feedback from most parents, who praise the caring staff, home-like atmosphere, and supportive director. However, one parent reported a serious incident in which staff photographed their distressed child, manipulated the image into a meme, and shared it in a group chat with administration who responded with laughter.
I removed my child from Wright Brothers due to a concerning incident involving my child. On August 20, 2024, an inappropriate photo was taken of my child, as he was crying, and sent by text message in a group chat with staff and administration. The photo was taken in .5 to distort my child's face and made into a meme, stating "POV I'm left at day care all day." Five administrators sent a laughing response to the photo. For context, this photograph was taken at 4:30 p.m. during normal working hours when I trusted the day care to treat my child with respect and empathy while I worked to provide for him. My child was clearly in distress in the photograph; however, instead of treating my child with care or compassion, the staff at Wright Brothers chose to treat both myself and my child with mocking cruelty. The staff clearly felt no fear of repercussion as the administration was included on the chat and, in fact, laughed at the image. This exemplifies that the culture at Wright Brothers does not give respect to the children or the parents who are trusting them with their children while they work.
I was so nervous having to put my one year old in a day care. After lots of research and touring different daycares I chose Wright Brothers and I am SO glad that I did. I adore my sons teacher and he absolutely loves going every morning. The director is so sweet and works hard making sure every child is taken care of. This facility is flexible, caring and family friendly. I love the cozy, home-like atmosphere. I would definitely recommend Wright Brothers Christian Childcare.
The people are great at Wright Brothers! This is my daughter's second week and she has had some issues adjusting to her new "lifestyle" going from a home daycare type of situation to a real daycare. Jeanne, the director, has been fantastic and has cared every step of the way. She treats me and my daughter as if she has known us for years. Parents don't necessarily like having to leave kids at daycares to go off to support them but if you have to do so, this is the place I would recommend!
This place is a joke. The director is never available if you need to speak to her and they are very unprofessional with the way they communicate issues with you, if she ever is in the classroom giving the teachers a break or whatever you will find her sitting in a chair not doing anything at all with the kids. There are always new teachers there who are not friendly at all and don't seem to be very well qualified to handle as many children as they have in their classes. They will tell you what you want to hear to get your kids there but don't follow through with their claims at all. For the amount of money they charge you are better off sending your child to a real preschool where they will actually teach them and prepare them for school. Save yourself the trouble of you want a reliable place to send your little ones.
We had some hard time finding the right care for our 3+ year old. She refused to go to preschool before we moved to Tucson. Reach the age and physical state to actually agree to go to preschool after few months. We looked around a bit, found this one - and we are glad for it. Starts were hard, but now the fruit comes - she seems to enjoy preschool activities, is proud of every creation she brought home from preschool, and is looking forward for it. Staff is extremely wonderful, easy going, no stress, just like preschool should be.
