We’ve had a wonderful experience so far! I had called inquiring about the summer camp for our twins who are 6, the person who I spoke with was knowledgeable and kind, answered all my questions. We got a family membership, signed our kids up for most of the summer camp. They had their first day and LOVED it! I did an exercise class as well and it was great. The facility is well kept, especially the hallway to the pool and locker room, there is always someone mopping. We also appreciate the diversity in the staff that has been hired from the pool to the front desk. All around a wonderful place!
The people here are friendly, it's a welcoming environment, and it has great resources, both for families and for individuals like me who just want a nice place to work out with many options for how to get some exercise. They have a pool, classes for swimming, Zumba, and more. But especially the staff- they always brighten my day!
I’m very impressed with the facility. It’s clean, there are lots of machines, weights, and spaces for mat exercises/stretching. This is not my home Y, as I’m visiting for my daughter’s surgery, and I found the staff to be kind and helpful - there was no issue with using the facility as a Y member from Missouri. I would definitely join here if I lived in the area.
I've been coming here since 2018, my kids have learned to swim, staff are friendly and always helpful. Facility is nice and clean. I'm really happy with this Y. Also the summer camp for the kids are awesome here as well!
This place has gone downhill—fast. I brought my daughter here about five years ago to teach her how to swim and dive, and back then, it was a welcoming, family-friendly environment. Fast-forward to today, and I hardly recognize the place. They’ve rearranged the swim lanes to run directly into the deep end, and now your kid needs to pass a swim test just to enter that area. So forget about teaching your child to swim or dive unless they’re already trained—which defeats the whole point. A lifeguard actually told me you’re not allowed to dive in the deep end. Think about that for a second. It gets worse. I heard a lifeguard screaming at a kid to slow down. Not correcting, not redirecting—screaming. Then I was told I was being “too rowdy” for playing with my kids in the pool. Not roughhousing. Not causing problems. Just having fun. Apparently that’s not allowed anymore either. At that point, we just got out and left. I canceled my membership that same day. For the amount of money people pay for this place, you’d expect professional staff and a supportive environment—not a team of overzealous teenagers policing families like it’s a boot camp. If you’re looking to quietly swim laps, sure—it’ll work for you. But if you have a family, save your money and go somewhere else. This place has become downright hostile to parents and kids.
