I’d like to take the time to give a 5 star review to Wish Upon A Star Daycare! From the very first day I stepped into the facility it was clean, smells wonderful and the ladies in the front are always welcoming and knowledgeable. The entire daycare is decorated beautifully with different themes for your child’s imagination to soar. As a first time mommy I was nervous but having the Brightwheel App has given me a sense of ease. I receive updates when he’s ate, diaper changes, naps, pictures, and even message my son’s teacher whenever I need or want that reassurance. Yasmean and her staff are wonderful people and I’ve never had any issues. My step children, god daughter, and nieces also attend and have been there since they were little, and I’ve loved it anytime I needed to grab them from there. Highly recommend this daycare.
My son attended this daycare for about three weeks, and our experience was extremely disappointing. During his very first week there, he caught the flu. Once he started feeling better, we sent him back, and he was sent home with a 101° fever. We took him to a walk-in clinic that same day, and they confirmed he still had the flu and prescribed him a nebulizer treatment. When we called the daycare to let them know he would be out for the week, they told us we would still have to pay half of his weekly tuition, even with a doctor’s note. I explained that it didn’t seem fair since he got sick from the daycare. It’s not like we’re keeping him home for no reason — he’s genuinely sick and physically unable to attend. We had already been uncomfortable with several things before this. They had my son sharing a crib with another child because they said that child was “transitioning out.” We had to bring that up ourselves before it was corrected. Almost every time we picked him up, someone would rush to wipe his nose as we walked in. which made us wonder how long it had been that way throughout the day. When I expressed my concerns about the payment policy and these ongoing issues, the staff member told me that if I felt that way, my child “shouldn’t be there.” I agreed because if a daycare values money over a sick child’s well-being, that’s not where my child belongs. They also never informed parents that the flu was spreading through the classroom, even after we told them our son tested positive. staff turnover seems high, and one of the teachers barely speaks English, which makes it even harder to communicate about your child’s needs. I understand that many daycares have policies about paying to hold your spot, but there should absolutely be exceptions when a child is out sick with a verified doctor’s note. My son was only there for three weeks, and it was more than enough time to see that this daycare prioritizes money over children’s health and safety. I would not recommend this place to any parent with an INFANT .
I’m sharing this review on behalf of my friend, whose children attended this daycare. Unfortunately, her experience was deeply concerning. Her daughter came home with unexplained bruises on two separate occasions, and the daycare was unable to provide any video footage or a clear explanation of what happened. When my friend asked for answers about her child’s safety and well-being, instead of addressing her concerns, the daycare had her children’s belongings already packed and informed the family not to return. This response was extremely unprofessional and dismissive, especially given that a parent has every right to understand how their child was injured while in someone else’s care. Parents deserve transparency and reassurance that their children are safe. Sadly, that was not the case here. I hope this daycare reflects on how they handle communication, accountability, and the safety of the children entrusted to them.
Wish upon a star provides excellent care and structure for children. The staff is professional, friendly, and clearly dedicated to the kids’ well-being and growth. Communication with parents is great, and I’ve noticed real improvement in my child’s social and learning skills since attending.
Wish Upon A Star has been a true blessing for our family! With three children--ages 8, 6, and 1--enrolled over the years, we've experienced nothing but consistent love, care, and professionalism from the entire team. The staff goes above and beyond to create a safe, nurturing, and fun environment where kids can grow and thrive. Our older children built strong social and learning foundations here, and now our youngest is doing the same. Every day is filled with engaging activities, creative play, and lots of smiles. The facility is always clean and well-organized, and the communication with parents is excellent--we always feel in the loop and fully supported. It's not easy to find a place you trust with your little ones, but Wish Upon A Star truly feels like family. We're so grateful for everything they've done for our children. Highly recommend to any parent looking for exceptional daycare!
