We had a great experience at Winwood Lansdowne. Our daughter started here as an infant and did so well in their infant classrooms. The class sizes are small, the teachers are caring and loving, and she got excellent personalized attention. She loved going every day and was always happy at pickup. They are responsive and reliable and I always felt like she was safe and well cared for. Would highly recommend!
I can’t overstate how impressed we have been by everything at Winwood. We recently relocated with a 3 year old and 1 year old. Switching schools with little kids is a big thing and we love everything about the change. Ms Nicky and Ms Ashley lead a best in class operation that goes above and beyond with overall warmth and thoughtful programming (toddler cooking classes, group activities, book fairs, parents night out, you name it). Mrs. Farah and Mrs. Sandra have taken exceptional care of our 1 year old. Mrs. Alex and Mrs. Hiba have done the same with our 3 year old. All of the other teachers contribute to help along the way. Our kids are eager to run into school each day. Grateful for everyone at Winwood.
The three star rating for Winwood Lansdowne is because of the good teachers that provided their best to all the children including mine. However, I have the same opinion as some of the one star reviews. The lack of organization and customer service reflects a low level of overall professionalism and care. Many concerns with safety and security during check in and out were never addressed. I am glad my time as well as my child’s time here has concluded. I could have invested in other institutions that showed more care, respect and what I consider an above reproach attitude and professionalism/demeanor. The facility is outdated compared to other locations; this is reflecting and a comment by expressing a visual comparison to other daycares within the area. Also and like the other low rating, one star comments, I share a coequal feeling(s) about the treatment and current management that is servicing this institution. My overall experience was below average but the great teachers should not be punished/reprieve because of their leadership. Good efforts should be rewarded with a kind thank you for doing their best but this extended courtesy is for the teaching staff only.
We've been sending our 3 year old son here since February. We were initially skeptical with how he'd handle the transition to his second daycare, but the caring teachers and staff made him feel quickly at home. He loves it! All of his teachers have been great: Ms. Lydia, Ms. Luna, and Ms. MJ in particular. There have been occasions where we've had to drop him off early or pick him up a little late (he attends half-days) due to doctors appointments and the like, and so long as we communicated this to the staff in advance, they've been very accommodating. Their "parents night out" was much appreciated for this mom and dad, and our son had a blast during their after-hours dance party! Highly recommended.
My daughter has been through three different classrooms at Winwood Lansdowne, and she has loved every single room. The teachers are so friendly with the parents, and so nurturing with the children. It truly feels like a large family. The directors are helpful, friendly, and fast-working! We love when they host after-hours events, and always love to attend and get to know the families, teachers, and staff in a whole different sort of environment. I wish I'd had this center as an option when my oldest was going through daycare!
