In the words of the great Winnie the Pooh: "How lucky am I to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard." That is exactly how we would describe how we felt about leaving Winwood (for a move). Our youngest was there from 4 months to almost 18 months and the infant teachers are nothing short of amazing. The tenure of their staff (looking at you Naima, Martha, Keisha) is unheard of. They are truly lifesavers who go above and beyond to care for your baby. Their patience and compassion is unmatched (more love to Erica and Emy). Our oldest was there from 2 to 3.5yo and had the absolute best experience. He learned so much and fostered wonderful relationships with his peers and his teachers. The Busy Bees (2s) and Brown Bears (3s) classrooms are active, engaging, and fun. The teachers have a great dynamic (shout out to Roxanna, Stephanie, Jacky, Waseem, Janice) and work so hard to make sure each child is cared for and nurtured. We also want to mention how amazing all the assistant teachers are who float from class to class and manage to learn not only every kids names, but fun facts and tidbits. Prepare your home and your ears for an abundance of artwork and songs bc your child will come home with both every week. We cannot say enough good things about Winwood - truly a family atmosphere. Jenn and Katy run a fabulous program. We are truly grateful to have been a part of it.
We loved Winwood and so did our child. He was 3 months when we joined. Not only did he thrive there, but he was such a happy baby. We would walk in and he would start grinning with excitement to be with the caretakers. They took great care of our child and kept us informed of the progress of our baby. We can't thank Winwood enough for bringing joy to our growing boy and of course so sad when we moved away. Thank you Winwood and the infant care team, our little man will miss you.
I can’t say enough great things about Windwood – Fairfax! My two-year-old has been going since he was five months old, and my five-month-old started at three months. From day one, I’ve always felt my children were safe and getting the care and education they need to thrive. Many of the teachers and directors have been there long-term, and their dedication truly shows in how they care for the kids.
We have absolutely loved Winwood—the teachers, the staff, and especially Katy (Director) and Jenn (Assistant Director) are amazing. Both of our children have thrived here thanks to the incredible care, warmth, and support they’ve received. From the moment we joined, we felt welcomed and confident that our kids were in the best hands. The teachers are not only skilled and attentive but also truly loving. Katy and Jenn go above and beyond to make the school a special, nurturing place. I can't recommend this place more!!
Winwood has been so great to our family! Both of my children had never been in daycare before attending Winwood. The staff and directors have welcomed our family in with open arms. My children love their teachers and both Katy and Jenn. Winwood has been very accommodating when it came to my children’s allergies and keeping their center a very safe and loving environment for all the children and staff that are at this location. My oldest child is autistic and the staff at winwood have been great with my son and have helped him feel more comfortable and included in all activities inside and outside of the classroom. Thank you Winwood!
