Whole Child Academy

This is an outstanding preschool. I cannot recommend it highly enough. The teachers really care about the children and I feel like my daughter is in good hands when I drop her off in the morning. I also like the fact they communicate really well with me throughout the day via text if needed and even will send me photos of my daughter if requested. The location is wonderful because it's close to the 23 freeway and Sunset Hills so it's easy to get to. It's a perfect place to/from work. The way the school is situated is that you can't hear any freeway noise from the school and it's higher than the freeway so there is never any debris or pollution from it. The outdoor playground is excellent. I've found some preschools and really small outdoor areas and very little interaction with real ground. Other preschools we've seen do not even have an area where you child can touch the earth. It's all concrete everywhere at other schools. Whole Child has a natural setting with trees and earth for the children to play. My daughter loves it. We originally sent our son here and he is doing so well at his K-5 school now (Lang Ranch) due to the foundation that Whole Child gave him. Our daughter is now attending and she loves it here. They are so good to her and the school really feels like family to me. You will be very happy sending your children here.

I am so glad we decided to send our two sons here! This place has been a serious blessing for our family. My youngest son, (just 2.5 when he started) was having a hard time at first. He adjusted extremely quickly as all the teachers made him feel right at home. My son even asked me to add a day, so I truly know he is so happy here. I couldn’t ask for a better preschool for my kids. They have made some great friends here and have learned so much. My 4 year old is even reading! They both have a love for learning and it has blossomed so much at this school. They come home singing wonderful songs they have learned and always have nice things to say about their day. All the teachers are incredibly kind. We are so grateful for this gem in Thousand Oaks! Thank you WCA!

A wonderful place for our daughter. She looks forward to it, the teachers are so supportive and the administration is terrific. (and it has an awesome outdoor learning area!)
