Westchester Academy

I put my oldest daughter in this daycare before about 8-9 years ago. It wasn't all that great at the time, and I ended up pulling her out after a few months. This time, I have a one year old and I have had the hardest time for months to find a daycare with openings. I spoke to Vivian and she told me to come in for a tour. I went in this morning with positive thinking and wow, was I completely shocked. The place was clean, it smelled amazing and the staff were so nice and kind. The children were happy and social. The staff knew every single child's name - this is important to me! They explained everything to me in depth to where I had no questions! I honestly feel like this was a blessing. Vivian was so kind and so welcoming.. You can tell she has a heart of gold and gives off the "I love children" vibe. She was pleasant and definitely made me feel better about the whole daycare situation. She came at a time where I almost wanted to give up. I am excited to start our new journey and have my baby enjoy being a kid! Thank you Vivian. ♥

I absolutely adore the staff here. My daughter started in the one year old class, and I dreaded dropping her off.. These ladies were so extremely patient with me and my daughter. They let me take as much time as I needed to sit with her so that it was an easy transition of drop off. They were kind and even hugged me while I cried like a big fat baby and spoke so kindly to me! They reassured me that its okay to have the feelings I was having and my little girl will be okay here. Flash forward, were now in the 2 year old class, and my little girl is using the potty all by herself and out of diapers/pull ups. She can count to 10 and she knows shapes and colors. This daycare has really helped mold my baby girl into someone I couldn't have done on my own. She loves every single staff member and cant wait to get to school. They hug her and play with her and I honestly couldn't be anymore proud. It literally feels like family watching your child while you work. I cant see my baby going to any other daycare. My favorite memory is always at pick up time and SOMEONE is holding her and playing with her. "oh we got caught!" haha Its so cute. The bond with the teachers and my daughter is literally one of a kind. Plus, I love getting artwork at the end of the week. I know that I will always be willing to donate to this school after my little one graduates onto elementary! Thank you Westchester Staff, you are an amazing part of our lives and I honestly appreciate you. From our family to yours!

Could not ask for a better place for your child to grow. My son is in the 1 year old class and I am pleased with EVERY single person there. The staff is responsible, respectful, caring, understanding, and most importantly they love the children. I have never walked in and not seen either teacher with their backs to the kids. The attentiveness is so refreshing and feel comfortable with letting my child be there. That is a great feeling as a parent so THANK YOU to the wonderful teachers, manager, and owner for going above and beyond my expectations!!!

I went here as a child and LOVED it, so i wanted to get more info about possibly enrolling my son. I have called numerous times and keep getting a recording saying the number isn't in service ??? I was in the area today and decided to stop by to see if I could talk with someone face to face about enrollment information; rang the bell and stood at the locked door for 5 min, no one opened it. I even called while standing out front and got the recording that the number isn't in service. Lights were on and cars were parked. Definitely not going to keep trying to acquire the enrollment info

If you're going to work in the child care business at least be passionate about what you do. This is definitely one of the lowest grade daycares in the pinellas county. They meet the Minimum Requirements to keep their daycare running. The staff are unprofessional and aggravated. You can feel the vibe when you walk in the door. There is no type of communication within the facility between the staff and parents. There is very little activities going on for the children. This is more like a babysitting house than an actual "Child Care Facility". If you care about your kids don't waste your time or money, you can do better! Within just 3 weeks of my son being there he got clawed in his face (with no incident report) nobody could tell me what happened. Even the director failed to communicate about the incident. 4 days later my son was bitten by another child. He is terrified of this place, as soon as we pull into the parking lot he's immediately freaking out. There's no way I would ever bring him there again. His diapers and wipes we're being used for other kids, his things had been misplaced with no explanation from any of the providers. Need I say more???? Just a WASTE of time. Thanks but no thanks.
