WCMCAA helps people with a housing voucher and most of these people are already housed, but they won't help the most desperate people, which are the homeless who are literally outside on the verge of freezing to death outside and on the verge of losing their minds. WCMCAA won't help these people who need help the most and if a homeless person contacts them asking for help, they will deny and ignore this unkindly, while they help people who are already housed. They could put the homeless at the top of the waiting list for a housing voucher, but they won't even do this, and this shows their hate to the homeless. If there weren't so many staff people at WCMCAA, there'd be money to help homeless who need help now, not in a year from now. I'm aware that United way of Greater Kansas City put WCMCAA on their "Impact 100" list, given to organizations who address the most critical and vital community needs in the region. WCMCAA does not deserve this because they don't do this. Whoever awarded WCMCAA with this honor obviously didn't know them well nor investigate them well because WCMCAA does NOT address the most critical and vital community needs in the region, because this is homelessness which WCMCAA ignores and refuses to help. May God punish management at WCMCAA who made this unkind policy to the homeless and for their refusal to allocate any money to help the homeless, who need help now. This unkindness and snobbishness from WCMCAA is obviously who they are!

So glad to have them but it's so frusterating that I never ever ever get someone on the line to talk to. I'm always leaving messages. It would be faster if they would just answer the phone. That way it can be dealt with instead of listening to machine write down my number and then calling and explaining why your calling. When u can simply look up the account right when I call. VERY FRUSTERATING. I WILL GIVE 5 STARS WHEN I CAN FINALLY GET THROUGH TO A PERSON. THANKS

We have been without heat and air for years. We had this old wood stove and a chimney full of hard creosote. I was so worried using that thing in the winter. We couldn't even chip the creosote out. And couldn't afford a new chimney. But when our unit did work it cost us $800.00 to $950.00 a month to run in the winter.... So we finally got caught up on our property taxes. Then applied for assistance. The day I called and found out we were approved. I cried hard happy tears. it was 105 in the house that day.. Two weeks later when we got our unit, that day it was 109 in our house. And as it was being installed I fell asleep in a recliner and woke up gasping for air soaked in sweat. I have post covid breathing problems.... The guy Randy putting it in .NEVER once complained. He worked on getting it all in and hooked up for 6 hours in that heat.. He was so kind and friendly. We were told that they were going to come insulate too. What I am saying is THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF OUT HEARTS West Central... My health is so much better now with air. I'm finally able to cook and clean and do laundry again. It was just too hot to do any of that before. Again THANK YOU....

Had issues with not getting called back, drove there, 1 hr away, quick friendly response. It seems pages were missing from my original application, not sure how that happened but issues resolved. We're happy, stress gone.
