The things i’ve seen there are unimaginable. They treat their staff with no respect nor regards to the work they do. They talk down on and to them. I couldn’t imagine sending my kid there if that’s how they treat their staff. Imagine how they would treat your kid. My two nieces go there and it’s a complete joke.
They have you do all the leg work for their energy assistance and weatherization assistance programs just to deny you in the end after a year and a half on their damn wait list. My social worker recommened them to me because of my income being so low on disability and being disabled. I have no furnace in my home and can't afford to get one either when I only make 823.00 a month on disability and my Windows and doors bring in cold air in the winter. I use my oven and my dryer to warm up my home during the daytime during the winter months. All they did was put in new light bulbs and smoke detectors and a carbon monoxide detector in my home and also put a clamp around a pipe for my water heater. Like my 73 year old father told me you have to be either black or have alot of children to get any help from anybody.
I called to sign up for weatherzation and the waiting list is 2 YEARS !!! 😳😳
