Little Folks Farm & Childcare

I’ve had my children attend this daycare for close to a year and we love it. So much so that my oldest daughter does not like to leave. They really love all the activities they offer and being able to go outside and feed the animals on the farm. Lisa and all of her staff are very nice and answer any questions/concerns that I have had. My youngest is 2 but about 6 months ago she went through a biting stage. It was terrible and so frustrating for everyone involved. Mrs. Lisa advised on me taking her out of the daycare for a few weeks and bring her back and see how she does. Sometimes they do get overwhelmed and taking them away from the situation can help. It was a frustrating few weeks but since she has been back at the daycare we haven’t had any more problems. Mrs. Lisa was very patient and understanding during this difficult time for us and I’m very appreciative of her.

I took my 9 month old here and the first day I was called within a few hrs saying she was scream crying and nothing helped to calm her so I had to go pick her up. She did have a raw bottom that day so I'm sure that didn't help but I told them I felt sure the main issue was it being a new place with new people. I went and got her and was asked to keep her home the rest of that week to heal her bottom, I did and took her back the following week with a completely healed bottom. Again, soon after leaving I was told she was inconsolable but I wasn't asked to go get her. When I picked her up that afternoon her hair was a mess and her face was filthy and she was screaming until she saw me. I was given every excuse under the sun and was told they would have to refuse further care. I immediately the next day had her in another daycare, the difference was night and day. Yes she cried a bit but after the first few hrs she was fine and no more crying the rest of the day because the workers proactively put effort into making her feel comfortable in the place. I feel like Lisa at little folks did not try as hard she said. My experience with them was awful and personally if you have a child that isn't quiet and doesn't need much, I would not recommend.

They have been dubbed several times for accusations of abuse, from slapping them with rulers, pushing their nails back, and verbal abuse. We had personal experiences where my young daughter said Lisa had kicked her during nap time for talking… when confronted, she acted very strange and nervous, very defensive as well. I don’t recommend them, and If you do, please make sure your children are not being mistreated, we told the state but since we had taken her out of the daycare, of course we wouldn’t leave her, they said there wasn’t anything they can do, which has been most peoples experience. The state needs to do better. If you are having mental issues, you need to seek help and not take it out on innocent children. Children deserve our best, not our worst.

If I could give this place zero stars I most definitely would!!!! First impressions are enough for me!!!! I called to inquire about pricing and was completely disgusted with the response I received!!!! I was asked for my first name and last name to inquire about PRICES. They hung up in my face and when I called back she told me I was a scammer due to my number being from Florida. I let her know I’m from Florida and recently moved down here and she told me oh well she didn’t care she isn’t telling me anything and hung up again! Ha then called me 20 minutes later to apologize because she was having a bad day….i don’t recommend this daycare to anyone I’m sorry. I’ve worked in childcare over 7 years and if you can’t control your own emotions when it comes to children, customers service or any human interaction then go elsewhere because the chances of them snapping on your babies are very very possible
