What Parents Say
This facility is actually a Job Corps center, not a traditional daycare. Reviews are highly polarized, with recent students praising free education and trade training opportunities, while others report serious safety and hygiene issues including pest infestations, assault incidents, spoiled food, and inconsistent staff quality. Success appears heavily dependent on individual student mindset and facility management at the time of attendance.
Im attending here right now an so far this place is awesome the people that are rating the lowest they probably got kicked out because they were not following the rules so you want to seek higher in life thos place is the place to come to they give you a warm welcome an are nise as long as you follow there rules
It was amazing great and outstanding opportunities.amazing teades best trade is material handling and distribution💯🔥 handsdown.Amazing really friendly teachers and counselors.I highly recommende this job corp to anyone and everyone in the age group of 16 to 24
Went in 06-07. Had some good times with some good people. Staff was annoying and I got in trouble at times, but I still completed my diploma and my trade & got that check. I say go for it. It's a free education. You can't beat that.It honestly wasn't bad at all, to be honest.
Wouldn't give any stars at all but then I can't post about what happened. So one star it is, this place doesn't deserve any if it was allowed. My son did research and thought Job Corps was the "perfect" place to finish his education, get trained in a job and get his driver's license. We started the journey October of 2023 and after four attempts at signing up, three case workers, one orientation ( which explained nothing of what the facility is Really like) and being ghosted , he was finally sent to Jacksonville Job Corps in Florida on July 16th. I am not saying ALL facilities are bad or the employees don't work but this one IS! No one would tell my son the same thing. He was told multiple rules by different people. One teacher even stopped teaching and just watched videos on his phone because the students wouldn't stop talking. Understandable but get rid of the ones who are disrupting so others can learn! The dorm my son was in had a broken window unit, a broken toilet and the blinds and windows wouldn't open because they were broken too. Rumors were horrible and even some of the students bragged about sexual encounters while there, which is a huge no no. My son's time there was terminated after a month because he failed his drug test and was accused of doing drugs while on campus. He was sent home within a few hours of learning the results of the second test. Others were sent home after being allowed to talk about their results hours later. I was told his results hadn't changed and was told he "Probably was smoking or vaping while there" He was told his results had dropped 10% which SHOWS he wasn't doing anything there AND was working on flushing his system of THC. Job Corp in theory is a wonderful idea but the facilities really need to be redone so those needing the service get the things they need so they can be productive in life. Research and ASK questions, ask a lot before sending your child or allowing them to go here.
Terrible place to go!!! I wouldn’t go here if I wanted to finish my education. Teachers don’t teach you anything. They have too many ants. I brought a whole bunch of snacks and food. Overnight ants & bugs got in my snacks and food. They don’t care about your health they will send you back to class even though you have Covid and you don’t feel good and they know about your physical health problems . They serve food that’s not even cooked all the way , and spoil food . What is sad is I actually liked this place and got close to the RA and counselors I was in tears when I had to leave , because it shouldn’t happen at all . shouldn’t have to go through what I went through.
