What a true blessing Watershed is to our community. They helped me with food when I needed it most. I love the book insert about being new believer.

I seen the add on the free food panrty for a Christmas toy drive I drove all the way there from Benton just to be told and turned away because I didn’t sign up no where on the advertisement does it say that you have to sign up. The lady at the check in was black and was racist towards me because I’m white. Told me that I should have signed up in July. Which is straight bull. She was just racist and I could tell that. I made my 8 year old cry. Beware of this place if you actually need help they won’t help you and they don’t care. Especially if you’re white and not black.

I never been more embarrassed in my life. I will never be in a position to need help again. I already don't feel good but for individuals that supposed to be a help to the community it's a bad look to have people on your staff that are rude for no reason. The bad taste today's experience at the watershed has left in my soul. I will never go to another nothing they host. I was lead to believe I was filling out for two things when I went for thanksgiving. I filled out two different forms but it was so much going on that day and so many individuals came to my truck. After today I will never go to another anything for help. I thank the ones that was not rude. But that image of her patting on that paper and her words will forever be with me. We as a people need to do better and learn how to treat people because you never know who you mistreating in the midst of confusion that is not on that individual. You never know what someone is going through. I have a strong back and large shoulders but the next individual may not.
