We’ve had such a wonderful experience at Walburg Academy! Our baby has been so lucky to have such caring, warm, and dedicated teachers. It’s clear she’s safe and loved here. We really appreciate how easy it is to communicate with the staff plus being able to check the cameras to see our little one is a nice bonus! We also love that they offer monthly parent night outs, giving us some time to ourselves, along with fun family events. It's been a great daycare for us! ❤️😊
Wallburg Academy has been amazing for our daughter. She’s excited for school days, gets plenty of outdoor time, and the teachers create such a warm, calm environment. They’re also very organized, with special events for families, daily communication, and even cameras for extra peace of mind.
Parents, please think twice before sending your child to Wallburg Academy daycare. Our experience was alarming on multiple levels. Staff turnover is constant—my grandchild had several different caregivers in a short period of time. That kind of instability is unacceptable in a childcare setting. More seriously, I personally witnessed physically rough treatment of children, including grabbing and restraining children in an unsafe and demeaning manner. Even more disturbing, I observed racially biased behavior and unequal treatment of children based on race. No child should be subjected to discrimination, especially in a place meant to nurture and protect them. We have both video and audio documentation supporting these concerns, which has been submitted to the appropriate authorities. I urge parents to do their research and consider safer, more ethical options. Our family deeply regrets ever trusting this facility with our child’s care.
Our son has been at WA since he was 12 weeks old (he is now almost 2) and we couldn’t imagine him being somewhere else. There are teachers that aren’t in his class that know him by name. He enjoys going and has learned SO much while attending WA. Theres something new everyday he starts doing, from words to manners to dances to songs. We miss Kat in the infants room (she is AMAZING with the babies) but luckily only a few doors down and we see her every day! WA makes us feel like family and like I said, I couldn’t imagine my son being at another daycare!
Was excited to get my son enrolled for the two’s class. Part of the first steps to enrollment is discovery day. This is a 6 hour long day in the class your child would be in. I sent 7 diapers. Not sure of how many he would have needed for just the one day. So I sent more than enough for one diaper change a hour just incase. Picked him up at three. Noticed he still had 6 diapers in his bag. I lifted him up and immediately smelt poo. Went to change him and noticed it was extremely full and he now currently has a significant diaper rash. Definitely do not recommend. Should be no reason my child was changed one time within 6 hours and had been sitting in the dirty diaper for God knows how long. Yes there are multiple children but there is no excuse.
