Walgreens is outsourcing PRESCRIPTION deliveries to Uber?! They literally gave mom’s new glucose monitor prescription to some random driver who, shockingly, failed to deliver her medication. The person I spoke with about this said Walgreens had ZERO ACCOUNTABILITY for this failure. What?!?!? After over 90 minutes on the phone with disturbing music I drove over to pick up her prescription. Only to be told I had to go inside bc the package was too big to go thru the tunnel. Apparently, problem solving is not encouraged by management.

I have been a customer of Walgreen's for several years. For the past eight years I have been using the Walgreen's at 7510 N Western Ave., Chicago, IL 60645. I had also been using a mail order pharmacy for some of my meds. I went online and transferred an existing prescription from the mail order to Walgreen's. I didn't hear anything for a few days and thought it did not go through. I again went online to transfer this prescription. Waited several days and heard nothing, looked online and there was nothing. At that point I asked my PC physician to send a new prescription to this Walgreen's, which he did on January 16. I called and spoke with a young man and told him that the meds were not covered by my insurance and I would be paying when I picked up. He assured me he had made note and everything was good. The next day I received a message saying waiting on insurance. I called again and was told it was not the insurance but they were out of stock and waiting on shipment. I heard nothing again and on January 21 I went into Walgreen's to pick up another prescription and asked about this particular one. They said it would be in on "Thursday" (22nd). This morning I called to check on the prescription and was told there was no prescription in the system for me. I looked online and it shows that it was cancelled on January 16. The people in the pharmacy at this location are so incompetent, the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. I am not going back there again, there is a CVS right across the street.

Only giving 1 because I can't do none without writing a review. Walgreens ability to fill prescriptions in a timely manner has gotten ridiculous. It should not take 3-4 days to fill one. I have already transferred one rx and will be doing the rest. Walgreens whose idea was it to house the medications in a warehouse and not the store. Not a bright idea. Fed up!!!

This Walgreens pharmacy is hands down the worst I’ve ever been to. I waited over 30 minutes for my daughter’s medication while she was struggling to breathe, and the staff acted like it was no big deal. There was zero urgency, zero compassion, and zero professionalism. I had to circle the drive-thru three times just to get the medication she desperately needed. It’s unbelievable how careless and slow this place is. If you value your time, your health, or basic human decency, avoid this pharmacy at all costs. The intermittent closure of the prescription department at my Local Walgreens is a major inconvenience and disappointment. We have relied on this location for over 25 years and are now forced to find a more consistent and reliable source for our medications. This is a major management failure and is likely to achieve the same results as another former premier Chicago-area business--Sears. That's really unfortunate and regrettable.
