What Parents Say
Parents praise the staff's kindness, energy, and dedication to student success, with multiple 5-star reviews highlighting the welcoming atmosphere and supportive teachers. However, one parent expressed significant dissatisfaction with the program's structure and operations, noting it functions independently from the school district which created complications. Enrollment requires application through a point-based waitlist system with specific income guidelines and documentation requirements.
Awesome energy and kindness from the moment you step in! The teachers and staff are Amazing. They will go out of their way to ensure not only you have everything you need but the child as well (clothes, assistance, food, etc). Beautiful people who want to see your child succeed. A place where you are always greeted with a smile.
This isn’t anything towards to teachers because most of them are really good. But this school, I wouldn’t recommend. My son is 4 and is one week away from completing his first year here and he will not be returning even if he wasn’t going into ABA therapy he wouldn’t return. I’m firm on not believing what I hear from people about places or other people. I genuinely like to find out for myself but honestly I should have listened to those who warned me about this school. They don’t run off Vigo county school corp, they are their own entity and therefore makes things harder when needed to go above and beyond the school itself.
Program Info & Req'd Docs to apply: 👇 * The Head Start application is in the WICAA building so you'd have to go there, not online. * When you do apply, you are waitlisted (as of Aug 20th 2018 it's going fast) according to a point list system. This means, the more points you have the higher on the list you go, even if you applied a few months after another family...if your point list is higher than theirs then your family is served first. Or vise versa. *There's "Full Day" and "Part Day" preschool. * There are 7 different classrooms. * There are income guidelines, of course. Call them for specifics. * Documents Needed To Apply: 1) parent/guardian's picture ID 2) child's birth certificate 3) child's shot record 4) First 2 pages of your tax 1040 form (don't need all the extra pages such as earned income credit, etc.) 5) If you do not work or haven't filed a tax return for the previous year then you will need to have a specific statement wrote out from the person who supports you financially. It must specify whether this is an entire year assistance or not and what they help you with (electricity? Rent? All?) and HOW they help you (do they give you the money or do they handle things themselves).
Amazing school, with amazing staff. I’m glad my child had his first educational experiences here because they really try.
Great school, excellent staff
