I will be filing a grievance with the State Attorney General's office tomorrow morning! My child has seen a therapist there not many times but this last time she was seen by the therapist the therapist came out of the office and told me that my child was suicidal because I was calling her names which wasn't true. And then she responded with she would be making a report with DCs and I turned around and walked out the door the woman didn't offer any kind of immediate service considering a child is telling you this right you just let him walk out the door. So I proceed to call for immediate inpatient services because I'm thinking that my child is suicidal we get home we all talk about the conversation we all cry we pray together and my child tells me she never told the therapist that she was suicidal. This woman has caused anxiety panic and Trauma for my whole family in a matter of seconds! Do not I repeat do not take your children to this place!

I found Hamilton Center to be very good at getting me in to see the therapist I wanted. Scheduling was very good. Highly recommend.

I would sooner cut my foot off than go back here. Took my son due to “suicidal idealization”. The intake therapist didn’t really ask any questions to try to get to the bottom of comments my son had made. They threatened to call DCS on me if I didn’t take my child to a mental hospital for an eval. They also won’t let you leave without an “escort” to the next facility “bc of policy”. I drove my child there, I think I can drive him to the next place. They were closing so they wanted me to sit at Harsha for unspecified amount of time for an escort. If you refuse the escort they WILL call DCS on you. In my opinion, government facilities should have ZERO say in how I, their parent, handle my families well being. I picked up my 2nd child from home and took my son to Bloomington Meadow.. in hindsight DO NOT admit anyone into that hospital. Do Not take your children here.

So I want everyone to hear this, my house was in disrepair due to my autistic daughter’s behaviors. We spent months of in and out of facilities, medication problems, multiple visits with the police and DCS. We were at our lowest point scraping the bottom the barrel for resources as hundreds of places simply would not help due to her diagnosis . As her mom I even quit my job (which I love being a manager) it just was not working with the issues we seen daily with her behaviors. One day I was just done, had a complete melt down in the middle of the police station parking lot. I called our healthy family case worker crying my eyes out like I didn’t know what to do anymore other then place her into a state facility. So our case worker helped locate my daughter running the streets, the social worker at police state both came with me to Hamilton center and got her seen. It didn’t start well but it was the third trip in a emergency case to be seen that Dwight, Jess and Taylor seen just what we was dealing with several times a day that the help was enforced. Those three seeing this was what set forth the coming months of much needed help. Fast forward 5 months since that day we were able to get on a program called wrap around we have these two amazing ladies (Kenzie and Melissa) who helped our family and continue to help our family to get through a very emotional roller coaster. Our Hamilton center is part of our family. We could not have done it with out our big team there. We have other services through them as well as they truly are a one stop shop for absolutely everything and if they do not have it let me tell you they will help find what you need.

me personally I had a HORRIBLE experience here and would NEVER suggest someone sending their children here. But currently my boyfriend is in there and reading these reviews is making me think he’ll just come back worse. Please don’t send your kids here if you want them to get actual help (ps. Harsha was a lot more helpful in my opinion)
