Viewpoint Child Care Learning Center

My son attended Sunshine S Learning Center of Pines starting 02/09/2025. On on 02/11 at approximately 11:20 a.m. while picking up my son, I witnessed a concerning interaction between a teacher and one of my son’s 2 year old classmates. During that time, I observed a teacher interacting with a child in a way that I found very troubling. The child’s head was slightly outside of his bed, and the teacher aggressively grabbed him, placed him back into the bed, forcefully tilted his head to the side, and then threw a blanket over him. It did not appear that she realized she was being observed. As a parent, seeing this was deeply upsetting. Our children should be treated with patience, care, and respect at all times. After the incident occurred, I then requested that the school review the classroom camera footage from that time and take any appropriate corrective action to which no priority was given nor any answer provided until I raised concern once again about the situation the morning after since more than ample time was given for a response. Once a response was provided, no concern was brought up to follow up with us about the matter. Since no response was provided, my husband attended the school to which the response given about the incident was that a meeting had been made with the staff member and a plan had been made. The concerning part is that it was stated that they were unable to share that with us. At that time my husband demanded our deposit back and was told to wait for a call from the director since she was on a cruise. It is disheartening and concerning how the livelihood of the children at Sunshine S Learning Academy is overseen. The director has minimal to none knowledge about how to use the Procare app, and neither did she attend to the complaint written. This is completely unacceptable because as a director she is expected to be aware of everything going on and not rely on the assistant director to navigate these issues. My intention in sharing this is not to attack the school, but to emphasize the importance of ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for every child. I hope this matter is taken seriously and addressed promptly. Parents deserve transparency and reassurance that their children are in safe hands.

Our children have been attending Sunshine Learning Center for the past four years, and it has truly been the most loving, trustworthy, family-style place in the world. The teachers are incredibly kind — you can feel how much they genuinely care about the children. The activities, the learning environment, the happiness, and the joy they create are unmatched. The entire place radiates positivity and love. Ms. Carla is an absolute saint, along with every single person who works there. We’re beyond grateful for the lasting impact they’ve had on our children. Look no further — 5 stars all the way!

Great affordable daycare! The staff is all amazing with the children. They are very knowledgeable and cautious about allergies also! My son loves going to school and I feel like the staff love having him there. He has grown and learned so much in the past year!

I couldn’t recommend this place enough. As some parents have shared, the teaches become family. My kids attended for 3 years until we moved out of the area. This place is loving, caring, and has a great curriculum; my oldest transition to kinder was painless, she was more than ready, and passed with flying colors. From the director to the teachers, all were a blessing to this working mama. I would drop my girls off and leave to work at peace knowing that they would be properly cared for. Again, thank you, thank you for all you do!!

This is a great place for kids. My kid has been here for a few months now. He absolutely love being here, the teachers are great. The owner she is super nice. My kid had a bad experience in another daycare. But I enroll him here since day 1 he is super happy and excited to be here. I really recommend this Learning center. They really care about the kids.
