My child attended Via Nova for two years--as a "Grasshopper" and then a "Dragonfly". It's a warm, vibrant community run with utmost professionalism. The teachers are well-trained and love the kids, the backyard is the best, and the classrooms were always calm yet energized with joy and creativity. I was also continuously impressed by the school's directors; every communication from them was clear and timely, the programs and field trips were well thought out, and I really just never had to wonder or worry about anything. Our daughter went to Via Nova for 3 years and we absolutely loved this place. Theresa and team took very good care of our daughter there. Her final year before starting Kindergarten was very formative at VN and the support/ independence and encouragement our daughter received from Lupe and Saloni was outstanding. We highly recommend VN to anyone looking for a nurturing and safe environment for their kids. We had some challenges with giving feedback and getting support in the early days, but since Theresa took over running the school, it has been an absolute positive experience.
My kindergartener who attends Malcolm X, had the amazing experience of being able to attend after school at Via Nova. He was picked up at MX and walked to Via Nova daily. He was then in the loving care of Lupe and Siloni every afternoon. He learned so much from the curriculum at Via Nova and had a mixture of art and reading and free play in their super sweet backyard. Lupe and Siloni and Theresa also cared deeply about his socio-emotional learning. It was always a pleasure to pick him up there because he was living his best 6-year-old life. Via Nova will always be a special place for our family.
Honestly, I think this is the best daycare in town. It was recommended to me by a neighbor whose son went there 10+ years ago and I couldn't recommend it more myself: Here are my top 3 reasons: 1. The teachers. They are not only incredibly loving, but also trained in child development. During parent-teacher conferences, they share meaningful insights and helpful advice. We feel confident knowing our child is in the very best hands. 2. The environment. The play areas are wonderful, and the team regularly rotates in new, developmentally engaging toys. Teresa and Great put so much care into planning thoughtful outings and programming. 3. The community. The families are amazing super active—organizing everything from camping trips, to winter parties to yearbooks.
My daughter went here for two years and LOVED the big back yard. She spent plenty of time playing outside which was exactly what I wanted for my energetic 4 year old. Lupe and Siloni are two of the best teachers I have ever encountered, they truly love children. They treat ever child with such calmness,respect, and wonder. Theresa (director) is also very communicative and understanding.
