What Parents Say
Cedar Creek Montessori School receives unanimous 5-star reviews from parents who praise the experienced, caring teaching staff and the Montessori approach to early childhood education. Parents highlight their children's development of independence, confidence, and social skills, as well as strong preparation for kindergarten. Families describe feeling supported and part of a warm community throughout their time at the school.
Our daughter spent two years at Cedar Creek and we're so grateful for the school's role in our lives. Prima's staff includes multi-generational teacher families and former Cedar Creek alums and that says a lot about the deep-rooted experience and dedication of her team. Cassandra, Misha, Heather, Lucretia, and Omari made a warm and welcoming environment for our daughter and our whole family. When we visited there I was struck by how self-sufficient and considerate the 5-year-olds were, and when our daughter graduated that was she. Teachers and parents alike at her kindergarten this year have commented on how well prepared she is. I could see her confidence taking shape in the hands of the Cedar Creek teachers. They were affectionate during her early, shy days and encouraged her to branch away from their laps and into her own person. They also supported us parents as we grew through our own sometimes anxious recollections of our schooling years. They developed lesson plans about being kind, being a good friend, being responsible. Cedar Creek taught her her alphabet, counting, rudiments of handwriting, and I honestly miss the Nature Studies curriculum (learning about the human body, mammals, reptiles, birds, the ocean, outer space, dinosaurs), which kindergarten seems to include none of. She still talks about music with Jack and dance class. We look forward to taking her younger brother to Cedar Creek.
We couldn’t be happier with our experience at Cedar Creek! Both of our children attended in previous years, and we saw firsthand how impactful the Montessori approach can be. It nurtured their independence, curiosity, and confidence in such meaningful ways. The teachers are incredibly kind, patient, and knowledgeable. They take the time to understand each child’s unique needs and strengths, creating a calm and nurturing environment. The classrooms are full of hands-on materials that encourage exploration and growth. If you’re looking for a preschool that respects your child’s individuality while setting a strong foundation for lifelong learning, I highly recommend Cedar Creek. It’s truly a special place!
My family spent 5 magical years with Cedar Creek and can’t recommend it highly enough. Prima, Cassandra, Misha, and all of the teachers are so warm, thoughtful, and caring in all of their interactions with kids and families. Our kids are very different from one another, and Cedar Creek provided a beautiful and appropriate learning environment for both of them. These teachers made me a better parent by normalizing my kids’ behavior and offering thoughtful and accurate tips about how to support them. They carried our family through severe illness, helped our kids overcome shyness, bought my son fun underwear to get him excited about potty training, and were a joy to see every day at dropoff and pickup. Cedar Creek doesn’t have a lot of bells and whistles, and this is intentional. What they have is incredible teachers that will help you raise your kids. So much of our community now is based on relationships built at Cedar Creek.
We moved from Europe and our daughter had her first experience of being at a preschool in the US. We couldn't have picked a better spot, all the teachers are wonderful and engaged! Our daughter learned a lot and enjoyed going to Cedar Creek everyday!
My daughter had such a great experience here. She learned so much from the experienced, caring, and creative teachers and we really felt like part of a community.
